The next day, while Noel was on work Leah left a letter on his room.
"
Noel,
These words of mine were not enough to describe how lucky and thankful I am to be entrust by you.
Genuine smile makes a happy heart,
and a happy heart makes a healthy mind.
So please always smile.
Leah
"
Sometimes she couldn't barely deny the fact that she bore the modernity even when in olden days. As months gone by, Noel learned how to deal with this eccentric personality of Leah. They enjoyed exchanging passionate verses and romantic ideas through letters every night. Both were enthralled by these that they didn't noticed they've already captured each other's heart.
A year later, as the sun sets being viewed in the balcony, Leah leaned on Noel's broad shoulder and tried to tell him something.
"N-noel, what if this moment is just temporary?.. " Leah asked.
"What are you trying to say, my love?..." Noel asked. "If this would not meant to last, I will make every moment of this span of time to be the most precious we can hold onto our memories ..." He answered sentimentally while lightly touching Leah's nose down through her lips.
"I have something to tell you and I hope you would understand... " Leah grabbed his hand from her nose.
She looked into Noel's eyes wholeheartedly.
"Noel, I've loved you from the start. My heart was filled by your warmth and caring. I am delighted and grateful. However, I am afraid to tell you that I am not sure until when I would be in here... "
"So you mean to say that you're gonna leave me?!!" He interrupted.
Leah stopped Noel in speaking out words that might hurt them both by kissing him softly. Then he was stunned that his lips were stucked and unable to speak.
"The truth was I'd already saw and met you three decades ago along with your parents and Edith. I don't know how exactly happened but this time, your time was my past and mine was your future. We were four scores and six years apart.... my love.." She explained.
"Haha! Are you kidding, my love? "Noel scornfully laughed at her.
"Noel, I'm not messing around.. It was all started because of this..." That was the time Leah grabbed the gemstone on her clutch and showed it to him. "In my time, I was hiding in a wardrobe because I don't want to marry that Dranreb, I don't feel anything for him. I saw this gemstone and as I open a door it leads me to a different time. Then I finally got into your time, my heart decided to be in here, I love you and I want to be with you that's why I am not opening any doors that would take us to be apart." She told Noel and hugged him tightly.
Edith was walking in the hallway when she heard something and caught her attention, the story about Leah.
"Hmm.. That's why her physical appearance didn't change at all after almost thirty years when I saw her." Edith said to herself.
She figured out that the woman whom she met before and she was with now are just the same, that was Leah.
