Chapter Twenty nine Closing time came soon enough. I locked up the library with Wade and told him I’d see him shortly. He and Juliet planned to come early and start the grill for the burgers and kabobs. I swung by the bakery to pick up a chocolate raspberry cake with a dark chocolate ganache for dessert. By five thirty, I had changed into a pair of capris with a sleeveless top of cobalt blue, had placed the beer and wine on ice on the back porch, and started a pasta salad. A few minutes before six, Juliet and Wade arrived.
