----???? POV----
Somewhere north of the Thenem Kingdom.
Two set of twin boys, where marching down the halls of the Phantom Councils main building, on their way to their shared floor. Four set of black military boots hitting the floor simultaneous and echoes around the empty halls.
“Do you think father knows?” Alaviv asked while throwing his knife with the black Onyx blade up and down.
“Of course, he does. Nothing gets past him. You should know that by know Alaviv. Not to mention the fact that we went radio silence for days, so if he, for some reason didn’t know, he will now.” I answered his question, trying to keep my voice neutral. I was irritated, but that wasn’t his fault.
“The Council sent us on a secret mission, so we might still be able to pull one over him.” Vetranio said, putting a hand on my shoulder.
“If it where someone else, that might be true, Vetranio.” Aspar commented.
“We’ve never taken this long to complete a mission, not even the really complicated or really dangerous ones. We are the best of the best after all.” Aspar continued and straightened his back. Proud of that label, which he should be, but it didn’t really help the current situation.
“I think it’s safe to say that he knows.” Alaviv whispered as he were fastening the knife back to the inside of his left boot. I looked up, we all did, except Alaviv and we froze in place. Our father stood a few feet away from us, with a furious expression on his face. Yeah, he definitely knew.
“Where have you been?” He asked with a low growl. I looked at my brothers out of the corners of my eyes, seeing them doing the same. None of us wanting to say something, which just pissed him of even more.
“I asked, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN!?” He roared, while narrowing his eyes as he alternately looked at us.
“And don’t even bother lying to me. I’m only giving you four one change to explain and only ONE.” He warned.
“We wanted to see her.” Aspar said, straightening and locking eyes with him. His eyes flashed dangerously at me, knowing it was must likely my idea.
“I told you now wasn’t the time to do so.” He growled furious.
“It’s never the right time, never has been. She’s been separated from us for decades. So, when is the right time, huh? When she’s old and grey?” Vetranio demanded to know. Our father growled deep at his respond.
“She’s everything we could hope for. No, she’s so much more… And she looks so much like mom. She has her spirit and courage and all that she was. She’s her spitting image.” I said locking eyes with him.
“Aren’t you the least bit curious about her!” I shouted, wanting to get a reaction from him, but he remained silent at that.
“She deserves to know.” I added with a low voice.
“She has been living in the dark for too long, and she needs to know the truth, before she is forced to see the truth on her own.” Vetranio continued. It may have been my idea to go against our father’s order, but my brothers wanted to see and meet her as bad I wanted to. And we were all determined to tell her the truth, even if it was to be the last thing we did. Our father and the Council be damned.

----Leigh POV----
I kept my head down as I walked into the dining hall. After Ryder and Rylee had taken me to the hospital wing to get my wound patched up, they guided me to Kaylen’s room where I spent the night. Her room was a more feminine version of Kayden’s, but still made me feel a little uneasy. Kaylee was talking about something I wasn’t quite interested in all night, but it didn’t look like she noticed that I wasn’t paying attention. In the end we did finally fall asleep. A restless one at that and I might have gotten a couple of hours of sleep, so I was tired and hold back a yawn as Kaylee and I walked up to the others.
“Moring Leigh. I hope Kaylee let you sleep last night.” Ryder said as Kaylee and I sat down, and I looked up for the first time. He sent me a huge smile, that made his eyes shine and then somebody growled low. Out of the corner of my eye I could see Kayden giving his brother a mad glare, but I ignored him.
“Guess I needed a girl’s night more than I realized, so thanks for helping me out.” I sent Ryder a small smile and did the same to Rylee, who just shrugged it off, with half a smile. I where surprised to see Kayden at the table, given what happen between us yesterday, or maybe that where the reason why he was here. To make sure I didn’t say a thing. But I hadn’t. I didn’t tell his brothers about the kiss, or his sister and I wasn’t planning on doing it. The King, Julien, cleared his throat and looked at his wife before turning his gaze at Kayden.
“Your mother and I have been talking and we think that it would be a good idea if you and Leigh went to the city together. That way the people gets a change to see their new Crown princess and Leigh gets a change to see the rest of the Kingdom.”
“Why? It’s not like the city is going anywhere…” He got cut of in the middle of the sentence by his mother.
“Kayden.” She said with a warning in her voice.
“I do have other plans for today.” He countered, not breaking eye contact with his mother. Ryder and Rylee were watching me closely, like they knew my inner turmoil. I didn’t want to spend the day with Kayden either, but I did want to see the city. I also didn’t want to witness the rest of the conversation, that would end with his mother demanding Kayden to take me, so I excused myself. I walked down the halls, where I had first seen Kayden and then felt Kayden’s presence behind me. I stopped walking and turned around, no point in trying to get away from him. He took a step closer, and we were now face to face. His grey eyes with the ice blues flakes scanning my face intensely.
“I’m not done with our conversation from yesterday.” He said, taking another small step towards me, bringing him within arm’s reach and way to close for comfort. The memories of his lips on mine flashed through my mind and I bit my lower lip. I would be lying if I said that he didn’t have an effect on my body. I thought that I where so much more than the girl whose knees got all weak when she was near a good-looking guy, but apparently not when the guy where Kayden, cause I where slowly becoming that girl. His gaze combined with his present made me all hot and breaking my resilience in half. I then took a step back and cleared my throat. I needed to get away from him, before something, that shouldn’t happen, happened. Again.
“I don’t have anything to add.” I said and took another step away from him, creating more space between us. His eyes had a dark intensity that had this raw need deep within and were begging me to come closer.
“The car leaves at noon.” His voice was a soft whisper, and it were taking all my will power to not walk up to him. He then turned on his heels and left me alone in the hall. The second he was out of sight I let myself, slide down the wall till I sat on the floor. This was torture. I wanted the guy now, despite his treatment for me. This wouldn’t have happened if he hadn’t kissed me, cause the need for him wasn’t this bad before the kiss. And that did just make me hate him more. Why did he had to do that?
