(Sabrina's P.O.V.)
Walking out of the bookstore, Sabrina felt a strange tingling in her hand that was linked with Gabriel's. She let go off his hand and stood in front of him.
"Where to?", Sabrina said noticing her hand wasn't tingling anymore. She assumed the tingling was because of her nervousness and dismissed it.
"This is my truck", Gabriel said pointing at a white Chevy Silverado. He opened the door and Sabrina slipped inside. Gabriel's truck smelled of cedar just like him. Sabrina watched as he came around and got into the driver's seat. Gabriel started the truck while staring at her
"You look beautiful." Gabriel said.
"Thanks. You look pretty good yourself. Where are we going", Sabrina said nervously.
"It's a surprise.",Gabriel said winking at her. Gabriel drove them to an Italian restaurant just outside of town. He parked his truck and opened the door for Sabrina. As they walked into the restaurant, she noticed it was a little different from your normal restaurant.
It was private booths separated for privacy. The lighting was dimmed except at each table. Gold curtains surrounded each booth for extra privacy. String lights and wine bottles lined the walls. Photos of Italy in frames that showed breath taking landscapes and landmarks hung on the walls. It was beautiful and romantic.
As Sabrina and Gabriel walked further inside, the hostess called out to him.
"Gabriel, it's so nice to see you. And who is this?", the hostess said gesturing toward Sabrina.
"This is my date Sabrina. We have a reservation.", Gabriel said looking nervous taking Sabrina's hand in his. The moment they touched that tingling feeling shot up her arm and started to spread through her body.
The hostess, Angel according to her name tag, was looking at Sabrina with a smile on her face but her smile didn't reach her eyes. Angel showed them to their seats. She took their drink orders, delivered them and went back to her podium all while giving Sabrina a disapproving look.
"Come here often?" Sabrina asked as she pick up some bread from the table and tearing off little pieces trying to stave of her nervousness.
"I come here with my parents often. One of my Mom's friends owns the restaurant." Gabriel said looking for their server. Sabrina started to check out Gabriel. He was so handsome. She looked over his green eyes, his square jaw, and his beautiful lips. She wondered what it would be like to kiss those lips. Would they be as soft as they looked? Would it tingle like it did when he touched her? She blushed at her thoughts. When the server came, Sabrina ordered eggplant parmesan and Gabriel ordered lasagna with extra sauce. While waiting for their order, they chatted about books and hobbies. Gabriel likes mystery and true crime. He practices self defense and runs two miles everyday. Sabrina reads most any book but her favorite was fantasy or science fiction. She paints and runs everyday too. The more they talked, the more they discovered they had in common. Sabrina started to notice that anytime their fingers brushed each other it would tingle up her arm and through out her body. The longer they sat there the more Sabrina felt a pull towards Gabriel. He was funny, smart and super hot. She felt really comfortable with him.
Their food came out to their table and drinks got refilled. Everything looked and smelled delicious. Sabrina took a bit of her eggplant parmesan and moaned at the cheesey sauced eggplant goodness. Gabriel stared at her his eyes darkening at her moan.
"I haven't had this in a long time. It's really good. How is your lasagna?", Sabrina said in between bites, her cheeks heating under his gaze. Gabriel picked up his fork and took a bite of his own food. Sabrina watched him lift his fork up to his beautiful lips.
"It's good. Wanna try some?", Gabriel asked as he lifted his fork with some more lasagna before her mouth. She nodded and accepting the food into her mouth blushing as he stared. Sabrina went back to her own food with gusto. When they finished eating, Gabriel ordered dessert. When it was set in front of her, Sabrina widen her eyes and smiled.
"Tiramisu is my favorite.", Sabrina said hurrying to eat the espresso soaked cake.
"Mine too.", Gabriel said with a grin. The first bite hit her tongue. The coffee and cream flavor in her mouth was divine. She quickly finished hers. Gabriel finished his at the same time. They continued to talk and enjoy each other's company allowing dinner and dessert to digest.
