(Gabriel's P.O.V)
Toby's wolf, Scotus, had come to get Gabriel from Sabrina's house. Running into the trees, Gabriel could feel Apollo's elation at getting close to their mate. Sabrina had been afraid at first but she had courage too. She had let him come close and touched him. She spoke to him and even compared him with Gabriel. She is smart too. Her cherry blossom scent still lingered in his nose.
"Our mate is amazing. She is truly meant for us.", Apollo said with certainty.
Apollo open the pack link to speak with Scotus.
"What is so urgent you had to come get me?", Apollo inquired annoyed that his time with Sabrina had been interrupted.
"Your father has called for you. Someone broke into the pack house. More specifically your room.", Scotus informed Apollo.
"Faster!", Apollo demanded as he pushed for more speed. Who would be foolish enough to break into a house full of werewolves? As they got close to the pack house, they shifted and picked up clothes from guards waiting for their return.
Walking into the house, Gabriel immediately went to his room. The door was open and his father was standing inside surveying the damage.
"What happened here?", Gabriel asked his father confused. Thomas turned to his son and enveloped him into a tight hug.
"I'm glad you're okay. Where were you?", Thomas asked with concern in his voice releasing Gabriel.
"I went for a run after I got home. I couldn't sleep. Looks like I missed quite a party.", Gabriel answered looking at his room shocked by what he saw. His room was on the third floor of the pack house. Everything in his closet had been tossed about his room. The draws from his dresser had been pulled out and dumped on the floor. The mirror above his dresser had been shattered into pieces. It didn't look like anything was missing. It just looked like a whole bunch of destruction. Even his clothes had been shredded into ribbons.
"I'm glad you're safe but this is serious. You weren't home earlier either. Please tell me where you were.", Thomas sighed out looking at his son.
"I found my mate. I wasn't here earlier because I was on a date with her. When I came home, I couldn't sleep. I figured I'd go for a run try to get rid of this excess energy.", Gabriel said, leaving out the fact he had gone to see Sabrina in his wolf form. His father would get upset if he knew that considering Gabriel wasn't supposed to tell anyone about his wolf that didn't already know. Thomas grinned at Gabriel.
"I can't wait to meet her. What's her name? Is she a wolf?", Thomas asked while patting his son on the shoulder.
"Her name is Sabrina and she's human.", Gabriel managed before Tyler Myers, Toby's dad and the pack beta, came into the room. He looked like the older version of Toby and was the head enforcer for the pack.
"The Luna heard the commotion and came to see what was going on. The suspect panicked when they heard someone come towards the room. Looks like they went out the window. We found wolf tracks outside. They lead into the forest and out to a road. We found tire marks. Whoever did this, had a car waiting for them to get away in.", Tyler informed them as he pointed to the open window.
"Did mom see anything?", Gabriel asked. Tyler just shook his head no.
"That's three floors down they had to be injured in the fall. It doesn't explain how they got in here in the first place though or what they wanted. Also, they didn't leave a scent behind.", Thomas said thinking out loud. Tyler pull a bag out of his pocket that had a small vile inside.
"We found this outside. I had a witch friend take a look. It's a potion to cover one's scent. Whoever did this knew we'd smell them without it. This was planned by a wolf who was pissed at Gabriel is all we know so far.", Tyler explained.
"Who would be foolish enough to do this though? Gabriel do you have any ideas?", Thomas asked turing to Gabriel.
"I don't know anyone who would be bold enough to break in here and do all this.", Gabriel said gesturing to the mess before him.
"Maybe it was one of those girls you hang around with. Girls can be dangerous if they think they've been replaced", Sasha, Gabriel's mom, announced as she walk into her sons room having heard everything. Darn werewolf hearing.
"I really don't think so. No one besides Toby knows about my mate and the girls I hang out with aren't serious about me. We were just hanging out until our mates came along.", Gabriel admitted to his mother.
"I'll keep looking into this. Until then, you should be careful and keep an eye out for anyone suspicious.", Tyler suggested as he left the room.
"You'll have to stay in one of the guest rooms until we get this cleaned up son. Now, what was this I heard about a human mate?", Sasha asked her son with excitement. Walking out away from the mess of his room, Gabriel began telling his parents about Sabrina and how they met. They went to gis father's office.
He told them about everything he had learned about her during their date too.
"I'm so happy for you. When do we get to meet her?", Sasha practically gushed over the news of her sons mate. Thomas walk over to his wife and put his hand on her shoulder. Sasha reached up a squeezed his hand.
"I'm sure Gabriel will invite her over when he is ready.", Thomas said to his wife winking at his son.
"I will bring her over soon.", Gabriel promised his mother. He just had to find out when her next day off was.
"I'm headed to bed. Good night.", Gabriel said as he kissed his mother's cheek, hugged his father and walked to the nearest guest room.
