Elle pov
I started having that pains again and I knew what it meant do I had to find a way to get home and take my medications before I die of pains.
I could barely walk,so I had to call Lydia and she said she would come pick me up which I was grateful for.
Less than five minutes she was already at the packing lot. She and Lia helped me into the car. Lia on the other hand was so confused about what was wrong with me but I patted her and promised I would tell her about it once I felt better.
Back at home, Lydia quickly brought my medication and I took it. The pains kept on torturing me for some minutes and I wondered if this was how death felt like.
Why couldn’t that punk keep his sick at one place and not put it at any hole and causing me much pain?
“You’ll be fine Elle.”
“I think I’m going to die soon Lydia, I can’t bear this pain.”
“If you could endure the pain of giving birth to your son, you can endure this one too. It will only last for a few minutes and then it’s gone.”
“Make the pain stop Lydia, I can’t take it.”
“Be strong my girl.” She said.
“If I could get my hands on that young man, I’ll cut his d**k and see how he’ll satisfy himself. She said, I wanted to laugh bw the pains wouldn’t allow me.
Lydia tried her best to get Lucian occupied so he wouldn’t cry when he sees me but my little man was at the door of my room, watching me roll in pains.
His eyes wer filled with tears as he watched me. No, I can’t die in front of my son.
I managed to sit up and drink the hot coffee Lydia made for me and then I slept off and woke up hours later.
It was past eight when I woke up and I was grateful the pains went away and I was back to my normal self.
I strolled down to the kitchen to get some food to eat only to see Lia and her daughter.
“You’re finally awake.” Lydia said.”
“Yes.”
“Hello Ember, I came to check up on you to see if you’re fine.”
“Yes, I’m fine now. It’s soo kind of you to come see me.”
“It’s fine.”
“I’ll be on my way now that I know you are fine.” She said and I nodded with a smile.
Just across the living room, her daughter Ella and Lucian were playing and it made me smile.
Having friend around must be really fun for Lucian.
“Why don’t you come around often so our kids could bond?” I said.
“That will be loving.” She said looking all excited.
“I almost forgot Ember,, while you were away, the inspector came around and gave me this envelope to give to you.”
“What could it be? I said all surprised looking at Lydia who was as surprised as I was too.
I quickly opened the envelope and read the content. That punk surely did want my life to be a living hell.
The cafe is wasn’t obstructing any new development so why did he want to ruin it?
I passed down the content of the envelope to Lydia and she read it and smiled telling me not to worry.
Of course she knew I was worried, that was my first gift from her and I had stated making decent amount of money from it so why destroy it?
“I’m so sorry Ember, now what will we the workers do if the cafe gets closed down. It is our source of income.”
“Don’t worry Lia, I’ll think of something.”
She turned to go but looking at the tone , it was pretty late so I begged her to stay over. I’m sure Lucian will be happy about a sleep over with his new friend.
Lia fed the kids after we finished eating and I helped Lydia clean up before we tucked the kids in bed. Lucian was excited to share his big bed with his new friend.
“Don’t think too much about it, all will be fine.” Lydia said as she made her way to her room.
Lia went to sleep at one of the spare room and I was the only one awake thinking about how long my mate intended to punish me.
After few thoughts on the whole issue, I decided that come what may, I wouldn’t succumb into Logan’s wish. He needed me to beg? I’ll make him wish he didn’t have to force me.
Morning came so quickly. I noticed that Lydua wasn’t home, tried calling we but her line wasn’t going through. I began to panic about her whereabouts but I hoped she would be back.
Adter the kids were clean, I begged Lia to represent me ant the cafe and call me if anything goes wrong. She nodded and left with her daughter.
I watched as the clock ticked and listen for the sound of lily’s car until I slept if again.
“You must have been worried about me?” A voice said and I jerked up immediately to see Lydia carrying Lucian and petting him.
“Where were you? I was so worried.”
“I went to shop a few things for the kids and get some groceries done.”
“I can do that? You didn’t need to stress yourself.”
“I’m not stressing if I’m trying to make my grandson comfortable.” She said and I smiled.
I found it weird that Lydia called Lucian her grandson even when we weren’t blood related but I never questioned her.
“You won’t be going to work?” She asked.
“No, I told Lia to stand in for me.” I said and she smiled.
“Don’t show him that you are affected by the game he just played for I know you are stronger than you can ever imagine Elle.
Tears clouded my eyes, I wished my own mother could be by my side and encourage me like Lydia did. But no, my family abandoned me like I meant nothing to them.
