CHAPTER TEN

Logan pov

I’ve not been myself lately. Not that I’m sick but I’ve not been feeling any woman I slept with lately and the strange girl won’t get off my mind.

This has been one of the issues bothering me except my father’s constant nagging of getting a mate of him finding one for me and I think I won’t be able to wear him off anytime soon.

Last he came to my office was to give me a deadline and even though he stepped down for me to rule in his place, he still has the right to get me a mate so that I could continue the bloodline.

Philip on the other hand jas not been taking it easy on me.

“So, what do you intend to do now?”

“I don’t know. Maybe get a girl and make her agree to a fake marriage. Just to keep my dad calm till I find my mate.”

“What makes you soo sure about your plan?”

“Cmon Philip, be positive for once.”

“I am. Just that we don’t know if your plan will turn out well.”

“Have my plan is ver failed?”

“Don’t make me start counting.” Philip said and I chuckled as I remembered getting both of us in trouble many times.

But I have to fall through with this plan on else I’ll have to spend my life with someone who I’ll leave to regret.

“So who do you have in mind?”

“I have no one in mind. Maybe you?” I said as Philip bursted out laughter.

“Ewww, I never knew you were gay.”

“I was just joking. I’m tired of this mate thing and can only wish that my mate finds me some way or the other.”

My cellphone peeps and the call was from my secretary.

“Good After Alpha, Someone is here to see you.”

“Who is it?”

“Alpha Leo.” She said with a hint of fear.

Alpha Leo and my pack have never been in good terms because of how he was used to doing things and never for once has he visited my pack so why today?

“Let him in.”

I mind link Philip letting him know that the Alpha we didn’t like was right at the door of the office and that he should be ready for anything.

“It feels good to visit the young Alpha.” Grabriel said in his deep husky voice.

“What’s brings you here Leo?.”

“Atleast, don’t be too serious. I just cracked a joke.”

“I’m not in for jokes, I’ve got a lot of things at hand.”

“Ohh, yeah I know my soon to be son-in law is getting prepared to see his bride to be.” He said and began laughing while I turned to Philip looking confused for the first time in my life.

“Ohh, I see. Seems like you were not informed?”

“What do you mean by what you just said?”

“In few days, you’ll be coming to my pack to get engaged to my daughter and I hope you’ll be in your best behavior,I heard you’re not easy to deal with.”Leo said with a smile and made his way out of my office.

Immediately, I called my father to confirm what I just heard and he didn’t deny one bit.

“Remember I’m doing this for you, for our pack. I can’t let you keep on leaving your careless life.”

“But dad…”

“That’s all about that matter. The engagement date will be communicated to you and you better be present Logan or you’ll hate me for the rest of your life.”

And with that, he ended the calll.

Can today get any worst than it already is??

“Well, that solves the problem. We don’t need to carry out your plan tgat would have failed any ways.

“Father can’t do this to me.”

“Well, he just did and there’s not you can do than to accept it.”

“What if I find my mate.”

“Look who is interested in a mate now.” Philip said while he laughed. I wanted to punch him in the face but I knew he was right.

All my life all I cared about was my party life and women, nothing else mattered to me.

“Look Logan. Accept your fate.”

“If you were in my shoes, you won’t be telling me to accept my fate.”

“Well, I’m glad I’m not the Alpha, you are. What difference does it make when you see women as nothing? So why bother about getting married to your mate if not?”

“I don’t know Philip but it definitely matters.”

“Well, you. Look all worked out let’s go out to a cafe that’s newly opened.

“Where is it located?”

“I’ll drive us down there it’s well hidden in the middle of the city you wouldn’t know such a place existed.”

I think a quite place will help me relax.

We arrived at the cafe and it didn’t really look up to standard but the owner did a pretty job.

The inside was neat and well decorated. The sent of bread filled the room and my eyes caught the display of different pastries.

I remember when I was a kid, I will beg dad to take me to a cafe just like this and get all types of pastries. I and Philip will stay up to watch movies and eat pastries.

Behind the counter was a blonde who’s face I could not see but her shape from behind was alluring.

Shut! What’s gotten into me. I’ve not felt attracted to women in a long while so why today?

“Come have a sit Logan, you look like a kid staring down at those pastries.” Philip said through our mind link and so I hurriedly took my sit next to him and wait for the waiter.

I see the blonde making her way to our table and I was excited I could get to see her very clearly. She had a killer body. A body any straight man will kill for.

“What will you like to have Gentlemen.” She asked and immediately our eyes glued to each other, all three of us but something about her stare was different.

I could smell her panic, her fear and how she shifted backwards. Many women are always excited to see me and many even throw their bodies on me.

But she was different, he scent soo delicious and right then it dawn on me.

She was my mate, but why was she scared?
