At the moment, the scene, to any who was able to peer into this space separated the rest of the world was that of one of confusion and high tension. Hiya had already moved backwards to avoid any attack the wolf could suddenly launch at her if she stood close, she could only stare somewhat helpless at Harry resisting the beast with all his might, and this was the precise scene that entered the eyes of the silvery white eyed youth who had finally strode back into the fifth floor through the shimmering barrier of light after being tossed out by force.
He still had his brows scrunched up in anger and indignation as his body stilled and trembled just the slightest bit on witnessing the scene.
He took in the whole sight as a flickering flash of light flitted across his eyes like he was currently thinking of something. In the end, his eyes reflected a crafty light as he opened his mouth, took in a deep breath and shouted out, his voice at the highest level he could muster while still keeping it even toned,
“Alright you mangy mutt, it’s time to get kicked back into your damn kennel!”, those were the words he said, it was a statement directed at the wolf itself as it was laced with a vengeful and taunting tone.
He shouted loud enough to mask any possible noise so as to attract its attention immediately, since it chose to hit him first then he wouldn’t mind to return the favor.
And the intention behind his yelling was achieved as the two combatants, one man and one beast inching towards demonism, paused their contest of the stronger one as their gaze turned to settle on Isaac. When Harry saw him, he felt relief course through his body as he called out, “Isaac!”. Hiya turned to look at him as her gaze lingered on Isaac like she was trying to search for any possible injuries on his person, a flicker of light flashed through her eyes as she realized he wasn’t injured.
The wolf reacted differently on the other hand when it noticed the human it had sent flying at the beginning, for waking it up from its sleep. It wasn’t able to accurately guess that Isaac was the one to wake it from its slumber, but since he had been the first it saw when it opened its eyes, it naturally acted according to its instincts and sent the poor guy packing only for the interesting human to come back.
A bloodthirsty light flashed through its blood red pupils that could make one fall into the disturbing illusion from previously if he/she stared into it. The wolf’s thought was unknown as it stuck its tongue out to lick its furry snout.
Isaac naturally couldn’t read the minds of those around him but when he saw the wolf taking the action of licking its nose when it laid its eyes on him, he couldn’t help the indignation and anger that bubbled up within him,
‘This damn beast is actually seeing me as food!’
Astral: It won’t be long now before it regrets its choice of human nourishment, you’d taste bad no matter how you’re treated and spiced up.
“…”
Astral snide comment only served to fuel his current emotions as he stood gritting his teeth. He had no time to reply to Astral at the current moment so he could only direct all the anger he felt at the wolf. He yelled once again as sparks of flames began to spontaneously appear all around him in the air surrounding him,
“You damned beast, you seem to have enjoyed charging at me right, well then, here I am again waiting for your charge. I’ll be sure to receive it properly this time!”
Isaac couldn’t be sure if the wolf could understand what he had said but when he saw the wolf growl slightly with its black fur suddenly slowly rising up, he knew the message had gotten through.
The wolf kept growling as the gaze it kept trained on Isaac became increasingly murderous. Turning its entire attention away from the other two humans in the cave, effectively disregarding them, it focused the attention as it turned to the direction where Isaac stood.
Every one of them watching what was ongoing could guess that the wolf was going to attack Isaac with the intent to kill. Harry looked on worriedly at Isaac as he shouted to him, “Careful Isaac”. Hiya also stared at Isaac with much expression on her face. Since he had evidently taunted the wolf to the point of angering it, then it was plainly obvious that he had something up his sleeve, or at least he had a method to take care of the beast.
Hiya couldn’t help a little bit of anticipation that leaked into her eyes, this was the person who had been knocked out of the fifth floor almost immediately after they had opened the door to where the wolf had been sleeping, it didn’t mean he was a weakling or he was lacking, but what could he have possibly thought when he hadn’t exactly battled with the wolf, the brief moment of exchange between the two that ended in his defeat couldn’t exactly be enough to devise a method of dealing with the wolf right?
But whether it was as she thought or otherwise, Isaac had clearly taunted the wolf and provoked its ire. As it turned to face him, it raised its front right limb slowly as if taking its time to attack, yet it was this slow motion that got Isaac’s attention as his eye involuntarily narrowed, indignation appearing in his eyes as the scene from right before he was thrown out of the fifth floor crossed his mind, ‘This was how the wolf had slowly raised its leg before I got kicked out, the damn wolf’s about to charge at me like that again!’
He felt all the more angry and wronged. On entering the fifth floor again, he had seen clearly the ongoing tussle between Harry and the wolf, while he also saw Hiya standing helplessly to the side in thought. The wolf had chosen to contest its strength against Harry’s and had definitely not charged at Harry like it had charged at him. He was able to guess at this particular fact because he was fairly sure that even Harry wouldn’t be able its charge if it had chosen to charge, none of them could, that was how much he had discerned from the impact earlier.
And now once it laid its devilish eyes on Isaac once again, it had yet again chosen to charge at him like they had an irreconcilable grudge between them. This is all too unfair!
“…”
Astral chose to say nothing despite the thoughts he had, ‘You provoke a beast like this with words like you said and you still want it to go easy on you…’
Of course, Isaac didn’t think of that and he had no time to even think of that as the wolf, after slowly raising its front right limb, dropped it down abruptly and vanished from where it had been standing.
The beast had made its move. A sharp glint crossed Isaac’s eyes as he moved, judging through his past experience, the time the wolf would take to reach him and slam into him was about only two seconds. He had two seconds to beat some sense into this damn beast.
With the experience from before, he made his move as quickly as he could. A swirl of reddish orange sparks of light congregated around him as they gathered to his front, a large ball of fire then exploded into existence before him, it was a sizeable ball of fire that had a diameter of a little bit over a meter, it was the limit of his flame control ability, one which he had never stopped practicing. Although he didn’t use it as much as he used his willpower in battle, it was because he still had little knowledge of how to properly use it, or perhaps he should say it was because he had been splitting his mind between training his battle awareness and gaining experience, furthering his willpower manipulation skill and training the flame control skill as well.
He had not been able to properly train it yet, but it was enough to use for now for what he wanted.
