He could now last much longer in a battle than he previously could as his understanding of his willpower deepened. He pulled back a large amount of his willpower from all around him into himself as the remaining portion dissipated into the surroundings, regardless of the pull he exerted on it.
If it wasn’t for this fact, then he would probably be able to fight for an infinite amount of time whenever he wanted to, his willpower would always remain of the same amount every time. But that proved to be impossible as every time he used his willpower, a portion would be lost to the environment around him regardless of his control over it. It was a mysterious occurrence, one that he had no control or understanding of.
And when he absentmindedly swiped open his status screen to take a look at any changes of any sort, he was rewarded with a sight that showed his decision was right

Nothing had changed if he only looked at the top part of the screen, but on scrolling downwards he noticed the newest addition to his skill list, the ‘Enhanced Spiral of will control’.
It was like an acknowledgement of his further understanding of the spiral within him. It was something like a passive skill, as judging from its name and the fact that it only appeared after his enlightment. It might look like it was nothing much at this point, but Isaac could tell it wasn’t so simple. It was possibly due to his low level that he wasn’t able to see much. He was sure that at a higher tier, he would be able to fully bring out the skill’s perks.
There was no time for any more thoughts at the moment, so after putting all stray thoughts aside, Isaac continued his charge towards the wolf. It was purely evident from how it had toyed with Harry and Hiya previously and how it was still able to stand back on its feet after Isaac ingenious blow to it, that this particular tainted beast that they happened to encounter in a low level mountain, was not one they easily win over.
A white sword in hand, Isaac reached a suitable distance where he could attack the wolf and thus attacked. A white conical pike head condensed in his other hand as he threw it forward at the wolf. The wolf had grown wary of Isaac despite its urge to tear him apart where he stood, so luckily for Isaac, the wolf tried as much as it could to avoid all his attacks to not allow a repeat of the first time, one could say it had been scarred slightly, and even if it was only a little bit it was still a fear that it knew.
Of course it wasn’t afraid of Isaac himself, rather it was afraid of the flames that he could conjure. Even with how strong it seemed, it still felt true fear against something like fire that could cause it pain like it had just felt. The flames on its body had yet to burn out as it kept on assaulting the wolf with waves of pain after re-igniting the part of its body that had been put out by Isaac just now. The sight of it was both odd and comical at the same time as half of the wolf remained the same with no flames burning on it while the other half raged on as it burned off the fur of the tainted wolf king. How the wolf was able to keep the flames from spreading to all parts of its body remained a mystery that would probably remain unanswered.
So as the wolf witnessed another attack incoming from Isaac, it moved to the sight immediately with the speed it was unable to properly use during its previous charge. But the wolf dodging to the side was a move Isaac expected as he slashed his sword out at the wolf that had been played to dodge right into the place where he slashed his sword.
All this while, even when Hiya had exploited a perfect opportunity and landed an attack that would always usually draw out blood, she had not been able to deal any good damage to the wolf, the wolf had thick skin and a strong regenerative ability so all her attacks had left nothing more that skin deep slashes and faint s***h marks. But this time when Isaac slashed out with his sword, the sword had no problem whatsoever cutting into the wolf as it cut all the way in and out, copious amounts of blood spilled out, dying the ground a reddish black with the wolf king’s blood for the first time since the start of the battle.
It wasn’t that Hiya was weak or didn’t put enough strength in her strikes, what was actually the problem was the sword she wielded. This wolf was one with a thick skin and the fur seemed capable of absorbing a considerable amount of any damage dealt to it. So when she attacked with her sword, the strength of her slashes would have already been weakened by a particular amount before properly landing on the wolf body through its fur. Ordinary physical damage to a wolf of its level was not enough to deal wounds to it.
Naturally Isaac wasn’t really aware of the toughness of the wolf’s defense, but he didn’t need to be at this point as the sword he condensed he condensed from his willpower was still sharp enough to cut through. And even if it wasn’t due to the beast’s defense being too strong or something, he had realized it could become even sharper somewhat if he willed it to. This he had tried and had worked well enough.
The wolf roared out in pain as it felt the attack cut deeply into it. It had tried not to underestimate the silvery white eyed youth that had been the one to attack it, but it had still failed to put up any proper resistance against him. The other two it had fought with were actually not really weaker than this particular attacker, that it could sense. But this youth in front of it seemed to be somewhat different as every attack it had sent out at the wolf had both hit home, and actually hit home with a considerable amount of damage done.
