BOOM!
The resulting winds exploding outwards fiercely due to the collision as even the surrounding dust and dirt were all swept up, obscuring the view of the outcome of the collision, but anyone who witnessed and heard the accompanying sounds of the collision would freeze as shock and fear would swiftly take over them.
Adam watched with a peculiar glint pervading the consuming darkness like black coloring of his eyes. He couldn’t be sure if anything had happened and had actually ultimately decided against making a move, thus making a deadly and decisive gamble on the young man sandwiched between the two paws, he realized that if he were to be honest, he couldn’t help but feel a little anxious.
Although he was the only one who watched everything happen, the others were not far off from where the battle was happening, so they heard clearly, the sudden loud sound that signified something happened.
Hiya was already getting bored and tired of the battle that she tried to stretch out as long as she could when she heard a booming sound from behind, she turned her head to see the sight of two of the green skinned lions both with one of their paws against that of the other, like they were smacking hands together, her brows furrowed slightly as she took in the odd scene before her eyes widened slightly when she immediately recalled that Isaac was the one who decided to take two of the beasts on all by himself. Seeing no signs of anyone attacking the two beasts or even being present around them, her thoughts turned to the only possible place and situation obvious from the scene before her eyes as her eyebrows furrowed all the more deeply. She felt her heart stir slightly in the realization as she spat out in a criticizing tone,
“Reckless…”
She already had her reservations when he pulled the attention of the two beasts to himself, trying to be the brave one. And now that this scene was before her eyes, she could already faintly guess how things had devolved to this state. And from the looks of the current things , he was most likely going to be seriously injured from all this or even worse…
She abruptly turned back to the beast she had been dully engaging as her a slight frown appeared on her face, taking advantage of her distraction for about two seconds, the beast had tried to smash her to the ground as it swung its large paw downwards.
“Hmph…”
She snorted faintly as she moved decisively, a single fluid movement allowed her to mysteriously evade the paw swiping down on her as she swung the sword in her hand once, following that single swing of her sword, a deep gash wound immediately appeared on the beast, precisely on the one that came downwards on her just now. If one experienced enough were to examine the wound and its position, he or she would notice that she had cut precisely on the point of the joint holding and connecting the paw of the beast and its leg, and since she had cut so deep into the beast, she had cleanly sliced through a major amount of tendons and even reached the bone as well, effectively disabling the particular leg of the beast, rendering it crippled.
The s***h elicited a roaring cry of pain from the beast as it tried to instinctively move backwards, but Hiya wasn’t done just yet. Following the first strike, she leaped into the air in a smooth arc as she reached the chest area of the beast, she swung the sword in her hand again as the sharp sword easily cut open the tough looking hide of the beast, continuing upwards as it sliced open even wider the chest of the beast. When the sword had then cut a distance upwards, her hand abruptly paused for just the slightest of a second before she thrusted it and the sword deeper into the body of the beast.
Where she had thrusted the sword in her hand into much deeper was actually the point that housed the lifeline of the ferocious beast, she pierced the heart of the beast as all its movement paused at that exact moment as a faint whimper escaped its throat.
She dropped to the ground somewhat slowly as she withdrew the sword embedded into the beast’s body. She didn’t spare even another glance at the beast even as its truck sized body toppled sideways to the ground in a powerless and lifeless manner with its blood beginning to rapidly pool beneath it from the wounds on its chest and arms, a small cloud of dust getting raised due to its hitting the ground.
She turned back to the scene behind her as her eyes widened slightly in surprise as she noticed something.
The expected outcome of the scene when she first saw it was to be a very gruesome sight, but she currently wasn’t witnessing anything of such manner.
The two beasts still had their paws clasped together like they had been glued together, but that was obviously not the case and she noticed signs of struggles from the beasts as one of them even roared out seemingly in frustration or so
When Hiya decided to look much closer at the scene, she noticed a flash of white in between the paws of the beasts. Witnessing the somewhat familiar color in between their paws, she suddenly realized that perhaps all wasn’t as it seemed…
“Open your eyes Isaac “
A voice called out to Isaac allowing him to snap out of his thought-frozen state as he slowly opened his eyes with a blank look within.it was Astral who had called out to him, after which he proceeded to say more,
Astral : It’s amazing how you could force out your strength as panicked as you were and achieve something like this
Isaac stared blankly at the white curtain of light that completely surrounded him and even closed him off from all angles. He heard what Astral said but made no comment on it as he recalled what he had done at that desperate moment.
All he had thought of was to release all his remaining energy and use it to cover himself to possibly lessen the impact of the collision. Never did he expect for the current situation to occur.
He suddenly had an epiphany as he thought about it. Although he had never really paid much attention to it, but Astral had called this mist like white energy of his the energy of the will, the energy of his will; in other words, will energy. It was like his will as much as it was a type of energy he could actively manipulate. So once he thought about it, it was essentially something that would follow his every thought should he allow it so, so when he had pushed it out of his body in an attempt to surround himself with it, it follow his exact thought and instinctively surround him in the best way possible…
Isaac was currently in a state of sorts as he reviewed what he knew and had just seen, but all his thoughts were abruptly cut off by Astral whose voice suddenly sounded more serious compared to how carefree it sounded just moments ago
Astral : Come out of your thoughts and focus your thoughts on getting yourself out of this…
Isaac’s focus promptly came back as he immediately saw the white capsule of light surrounding him shuddering slightly as lines began to spread all over it.
Isaac realized it was cracking and was going to crumble soon, the beasts surrounding him didn’t seem to be relenting in their attempt to squish him to a pulp…
His eyes rapidly flickered in thought as he realized he wouldn’t be able to hold on much longer. After a few seconds, he suddenly breathed out faintly while he was still in a guarding position all this while. He looked at the cracks as he spoke,
“If you damn beasts don’t want to give up while you still can, I guess I won’t be letting you off, now it’s either me or you two die while the other lives…”
A flash of white glazed over his eyes as the whole capsule of white energy began to shudder at an increasingly vigorous rate, a second later, he opened his mouth as he spat out a single syllable
“Boom!’
