Episode 14.

Every single person standing and looking at the display screens that showed the outcome of the battle that they had been eager to watch were standing with dumbfounded expressions.

For a while there was only complete silence and nothing else in the hall, a odd atmosphere was thickening in the hall, until someone spoke to himself,

" Well that was some battle I was eager to watch "

Although spoken softly, in the hall were everyone was quiet and no sound was made, it resounded through like thunder, bringing everyone out of their reverie as they faces became colored with differing emotions,

" Aw come on, that's was it! "

" Is... this.. real,... did the battle truly end in only about... a minute?! "

" Was that the rumoured attributes fusion, fusion of attributes!, Senior Maximus has that rumour level comprehension talent?! "

Some voices were filled with bewilderment, some with indignation, all of their thoughts revolving around the battle that took place and ended in only a minute of the time passed, if this was a battle that these people were prepared to sit back and watch with some pizza and chicken, then either the delivery man would just have started the journey or he hadn't even received what he was delivering from within the kitchen. It was just too quick that the minutes of silence after the battle still hadn't cleared their thoughts well.

"... W-What just happened "

In the middle of the trio who were staring at the screens with a dumbstruck and confused expression, Bloat opened his mouth to ask, wondering if he had seen things, although this was the first battle he had witnessed in the Arena and academy, he had never expected such swift and absurd ending, the hammer wielding guy with good looks looking all high and mighty at first was actually now lying down on the ground knocked out cold with big wounds for all to see, he couldn't help but wonder to himself, 'Could they be making a play or something, or was is it all just a bluff display of might'.

Glancing at them from the corner of his eyes, Derek who had a disappointed look with slight shock glued to his face spoke him as his expression slowly regained it's indifference

" What you saw was the real thing, not a fake, not some show, truly at the beginning when they first started with testing the waters, they looked equally matched, but when the guy named Maximus revealed his fusion skills, it was bound to end in such a way. "

Saying that he finally got back to his usual state as he sighed, "... Never expected that he had achieved a basic understanding of the fusion of his attributes, he has a very good level of comprehension I must say "

Turning his head to look at the boys who where still shocked and frozen to the spot, the side of his lips curved up into a faint smirk,

" You guys standing here won't change anything, there's nothing much left to see and I should tell you that the Academy is a fairly new establishment, it's still able to bring and produce people and things you couldn't have possibly seen anywhere here in Earth, get used to it, nice seeing you... maybe not "

With those words he turned and walked away, unknown at which point he disappeared, leaving behind a bustling crowd of dissatisfied students and three young teens whose eyes had just been opened to the world inside the academy.

" Hehe.. well then, it's a good thing you met me, apparently the arena is a place where you can do battle with an opponent you have grudges with and do other things, but the battle between begrudged opponents is always the best to watch when there's nothing else you're doing, and you know what, there was such a battle that happened yesterday, a battle between sixth years! " Would I lie about something like this, I mean it, you can ask around... the thing is they didn't intend for people to know about the battle but somehow news about it got leaked out and there was a large turn out of students who went to watch the battle yesterday, since they couldn't much about it, they let it all be and battled like that anyways, the result of the battle was astonishing "

" Hm? how so, did they knock each other out? "

" Ha! knock each other out?, that's funny, more like the battle ended in a minute's time "

" Shell shocked uhn, same here when I heard it yesterday, the reason for the win was because the winner had comprehended something, something about fusion of attributes or elements, something like that, after he launched his attack even with the loser building up a good defense he immediately got pummeled and knocked out, the injuries he got weren't small either "

"... Oh my, how I wished I saw it with my own eyes, it's pretty hard to believe without seeing it "

" You got that right..."

Anywhere and everywhere you looked in the hall had people all talking about yesterday's event, many heard the story from a person's mouth but buttered up the story making it sound like they were there to watch, it was a bit overwhelming seeing and hearing how the students described such a person as the three boys sat down in the hall as they did yesterday.

" News sure does spread fast uhn "

" Yeah it does, i feel there's someone who intentionally fanning the flames... but who cares anyways "

Jaden said to Bloat with a yawn emerging from every fiber of his body, due to yesterday's event, the boys couldn't sleep as the three all talked about the match and about the many things they saw,

" yeah, wh- "

About to say something, Bloat opened his mouth as it paused like that, not forming any words as a figure walked in from who knows into the hall like the batch supervisor the previous day, what did they see in that?...

Quickly after they all noticed the person, the bustling atmosphere was replaced by an odd one as the figure that was a female's walked forward to the podium with an obvious about her

There was one thing that boys their age were attracted to the most and that was a well endowed beauty and the female walking with a model's countenance was one of them, in the body hugging jumpsuit she wore it was easy to see how it emphasized her curves and made all who saw it want to drool and take it into their hands. Knowing that would be a dangerous deal the boys staring at her calmed themselves as they felt the atmosphere turn a little odd.

As she came to the front of the class,she paused and took a look at every one of them, after looking at them she smiled and it felt like the flowers you usually see with beautiful colors had, it was then that she finally spoke up in a beautiful and dreamy voice,

" Good day everyone, my name's Janet, and I'm going to be the person under the batch surpervisor watching and guiding you all for the first year, before I continue..."

As she paused what she was saying she waved her hand and almost immediately a silver band was floating right in front of all the shocked students, after seeing them reaching out to grab it, she continued,

" Those are what the academy calls the connection, it's a band that has many functions,most of which I might not mention but you'll find a guide in the band telling you about it's other functions, so long as you remain a student of this academy, the band will always accompany you on your wrist, you can see it as a personal guide and a connection to the academy that allows you to access some places in the academy that you can't see physically but are still there, pls if it's a question on the band then drop your hands please,I already told to check up on it's guide and familiarize yourself more like that, I don't really care for questions, at least not at the current moment.."

As she introduced the bands many had excited expressions, some wore clueless expressions, it was one of those clueless that gathered such courage before being told to sit back down, some smiles at this while some just swept their gazes over him ignoring him after that.

" Another thing of point I should make mention to is the fact that although you've been separated into three departments that doesn't decide whether you'll stay there permanently.. Every three months during the semester has a test waiting for you all, a minor examination that checks on your progress on your overall strength, the way it'll be graded isn't much of a concern to you all, when it gets to that time, your knowledge about it will be updated, so basically in each of your departments you all have no rank at all at the moment which would persist for the first three months until the first examination, if a person in the third department happens to have a better score than any of you in the second or even the first department that person has the right to be ranked at the point where his score will be deemed fit for and everyone below that person will be pushed down a rank, same goes for anyone who does so from the second department,he certainly I would encourage you to work hard and try to get a better rank at every point in time. For those of who wonder what's the point of it all, I'll be glad to tell you that the first hundred who can from a lower department move to a higher department and stay there without dropping back down into the previous department for the whole year... will have his talent increased by a very special means, i trust that you won't doubt my words..."

As she talked and the eyes of the students held confusion and curiosity at her words she dropped a bombshell that could only be called called disastrous I the hearts of all the students, Especially those with low grade talents, their eyes could basically be said to pop out and almost falling out as surprise and excitement filled them body and soul, the significance of this matter was obvious to them all as an increased talent basically meant that they would brighter prospects, even an increase by a single circle would change their lives significantly.

" I can understand your excitement and I encourage you to let it be your motivation at working harder, but I must say this, because of the fact that you were placed in a higher department, gives you absolutely no right to treat the ones below you as slaves at your beck and call.

Anyone disrupting another's cultivation progress or anyone seeking to maliciously bully or perhaps even kill your fellow students will be dealt with in the most severe manner possible. "

Saying this the seated students felt a heavy wave of cold intent wash over them, quickly dispelling all the joy and excitement from a moment ago and make them quiver in their boots as it felt like a beast was hanging over their heads.

" Alright that's all I have to say for now, anything else would be communicated to you one way or another, I'll leave you all now and wish you best of luck in your endeavors. "

And with that, the aura on them and her entire presence was gone as in a flash a hole appeared her legs which she dropped into as graceful as she could be and disappeared completely.
