Beyond the city.

With bowed heads they waited for a while, after no response was obviously forthcoming, Ymir with slightly clenched fists spoke up again, “Allow us to take our leave first…” With that they turned around as they walked away in another direction, not bothering to say another word… Looking ahead, one could see the faint greyish tinge of the sky like that of dusk despite being in the hottest hour of the day, this strange phenomenon could only be witnessed at the farthest points away from the heart of life and the populace, at the edges of the untainted zone. There the sentries were stationed to facilitate the last stand against the unknown forces, they served as a final checkpoint to the warriors of the land, members of the hall. Those strong enough to brave the dangers beyond the zone. Suddenly a black dot entered the gloomy atmosphere visible to the farthest vision, it’s enlarging size showed the fact that it was in fact moving towards the final checkpoint, those tasked with monitoring the borders ran a quick scan on the entity before letting out a breathe of relief, no such entity would dare to stray close to the zone, but if one such entity did, it would spell disaster for those stationed at the final checkpoint. The figure grew rapidly into the silhouette of a human  as it rapidly approached the base. It was evident that the figure was moving at a rapid speed as in a short few seconds, it was no more than twenty meters from the base itself, the patrolling officers having already been informed made no move to stop the person as some stared at the figure who could move through the skies with such speed. Even as the figure had entered the airspace of the zone properly, it showed no signs of stopping as it zoomed past the gates, flying deeper into the short mountains standing behind them. The first real settlement from the edges of the zone was a well far off distance. Hence only after flying steadily for about an hour would one get to step on the lands of Sarang. The final frontier for the living. The figure zoomed through the skies for the better part of an hour before finally slowing down to descend. Another figure could be seen on the grounds of a clearing, the obvious point of descent for the figure in the sky. If perhaps Isaac were here, he would recognize the one on the ground to be one of the frost masters of the frost reaper clan, the same one who stepped out to caution Ymir  during his earlier display. Standing straight as he stared in the distance at the figure descending from the skies, he waited without a flinch as the person got closer. Finally a foot touched down on the valley as the person put foot after foot in front of him, walking with the gait of a king in his steps. Black hair with streaks of blue, and bluish green eyes were prominent features on the faintly muscular male dressed in sleek fighter gears, the pointed ears peeking through his hair ascertained his race as an elf, although it was the only proof of his racial disposition. The frost master waited till they were within twenty feet, dropping down on a knee as his voice reverberated across the open space, “I welcome the frost king from a glorious victory against the tainted ones.” The elven warrior pleased with the ever unwavering display of loyalty from his subordinate, let a smile bloom on his face as he addressed him. “You can rise up Azure, there’s no need for such formalities between the members of the frost reaper main clan, the rest may bow but you should be standing tall beside me, with you by my side, I trust the clan will rise even without me.” A smile bloomed on Azure’s face as he rose with his king’s request and he said, “Your majesty speaks so highly of me, I’m always flattered…” The frost king smiled faintly before wearing a serous expression on his face, he spoke again with an imperial  tone, “How did the tasks I gave go, everything’s been settled; I presume…” With an affirmative nod, Azure replied, “Of course your majesty, there were no hindrances to speak of…” A light flickered through the eyes of the frost king as his voice deepened, “But you had an encounter didn’t you?” A slight pause later, Azure nodded as he explained, “It’s not exactly something to bother about, just a little incident…” “Ymir ?” “Yes your majesty, your eye for talent has never been wrong, only very right. But I have to mention that Ymir… he’s getting ahead of himself, I should say he’s inexperienced as well.” The frost king said nothing for a while before nodding and talking, “If he’s ahead of himself, it means he just hasn’t met a match for himself, that can be easily monitored, and as for his inexperience, that can only be tempered by the weathering of time, it’s also easily taken care of…” Nodding to show his agreement, Azure continued, “The dark scythe was in the hall recently, we also happened to run into him.” “Oh…” “He was with some acquaintances as well, two young males and a female.” “Hm?” a measure of interest creeped into the frost king’s voice as he spoke again, “How were they… his disciples?”   “I couldn’t be sure, but they weren’t of much concern. If my senses told the truth, they were no stronger than those of the first tier, to be more accurate, two of them seemed to be just barely enter the first tier while the last had no signs of a class power, she was a mere human.” For a short while none of the two said anything as the frost king contemplated the information. Despite standing there for a while, no presence approached them, making the valley seem void of any living being. Yet one could see that the presence around them that could be seen as their auras was precisely what was keeping the area clear of any being. It was clear that these two individuals were ones to be seen as powerful experts. After the short contemplation, the frost king broke into a faint smile as he spoke, “I doubt the Dark scythe would have weaklings by his sides regardless of their strength, but despite all that, I don’t see much to be of any concern. He has always been a reclusive one, not one to interact with others. If there’s something he’s up to, it shouldn’t be of my concern. My advance to the seventh tier would make sure of that.” “It will be as you’ve spoken your majesty, I look forward to your advance into an entirely new realm.” Azure, the frost master spoke as he gave a slight bow. With a nod, the frost king stretched out his arm slightly with his palm facing upwards. A small sized marble appeared  in it, after he injected the slightest of energy into it, a symbol appeared on its surface as the space around them began to distort slightly before engulfing them in a mini storm of rippling space. A second later, when the storm cleared the two members of the frost reaper clan were nowhere to be found, channeled away through space to a place unknown.
