“I'm glad you are back.” The doctor echoed. “You have to take it easy with yourself. You are one week pregnant!” The doctor spoke calmly with deep concern etched across his face.
My eyes widened in shock as I stared at the doctor. It seemed he just echoed another patient's report.
“Pregnant!” I repeated. My voice was barely above a whisper. “The nurse who left here not quite long ago only told me that I fainted. How come you are talking about pregnancy?” I asked. Looking at his face.
“Yes, you are a week pregnant. The report shows it. You have to relax yourself.” He responded calmly.
I tried to observe the doctor, to see if I could see a sign that this was all a cruel joke. But the expression he wore was serious and pathetic.
