“Cathy was my wife. I know we never lived the happy life she dreamed of. I was not always there for her. I was neither a good husband to her nor a good father to Jaxon. My son has made it clear—he doesn’t want me here. However, I understand everything. I am the one who filled his heart with so much hatred that it has become hard for him to let it go. But I wish to show him that I am willing to do my best to make things right.
I am so proud of Cathy. She raised Jaxon well. He is a good man, a good husband, and a responsible father. Jaxon didn’t choose to live like me. He chose to take full responsibility and marry Cassie. I was a coward who lived his life according to people’s opinions, but Jaxon chose maturity—only because he was raised by Cathy.
