Jane’s POV
When I left Cassie’s house with my son, I was afraid of going back to my house since Spencer and I were not on good terms. I had no choice but to leave Cassie. She also had her own problems. Moreover, Billy was supposed to return to school after missing many days. The schools were close to closing, and he had to write his exams.
It took us less time than expected to reach our house in Bulawayo. We found everything locked, including the gate. Luckily, I had my own keys. Before unlocking the gate, I dialed Spencer’s number. It didn’t go through, and that was unusual. I unlocked the gate and drove in, parking next to the house. I took a small bag containing my clothes and went to unlock the door. I left Billy asleep in the car. He was tired, so I didn’t want to disturb him.
