Hayley was grateful. Extremely grateful. It had only been a week of school and she was exhausted but the weekend was finally, finally here. Hayley needed the break, or some form of it anyway because her mind kept torturing her with stills of Alisha. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t shake the imagine of Alisha’s torn expression from her head, she couldn’t shake the look in Alisha’s eyes, the way they had turned deep crimson, her wolf close to the surface, searching as they caught her own; in the moment they did, Hayley couldn’t hear, see or think of anything else outside of them, Alisha’s eyes had turned on her like a wounded puppy, they were almost…pleading?
