Hayley had started off the day feeling blindly optimistic and she now felt like an i***t for thinking that her blind optimism would last. Of course it wouldn’t. Still, could she really blame herself? That Tuesday morning had actually started out pretty good. Hayley hadn’t run into her father the evening before or the morning after, he had come in late and slept in late so she only made him breakfast and set it out on the counter before grabbing something quick for herself and heading out the door.
