Changing heart

I stared at the clock as I sorted out the document. It was really hectic going from one department to another collecting information. Some of the office girls used this to mock me, but I don't actually blame them. "This is what you get when trust a stranger" Taking a deep breath I adjusted my dress, carried the document and went to the next department.

I looked at my watch and it was already 7:30 pm and I don't think, I will even go home today. My stomach started growling, but I decided to continue typing.I sorted everything out and it was already 11pm when I finished.

Time to give that stupid man his file. I walked through the hallway and arrived at Nathan's Office.

Different thought crossed my mind, I wanted to go in and slam the document in his face, but I shrugged that thought out of my mind.

"Hello, sir!! Am here to give you the file sir!

The door was opened and I entered the office, I saw Nathan. I felt like strangling him or hitting him, but I did none I still need this Job and I can't just risk to loose it.

"Ooh you can drop it here"

When I dropped the file, I walked towards the door and it was locked. It was a power outage I think, now am stuck with this Man all night .

Sir, there's a power outage and your door can't open, so I think I will spend the night with you here, if it not a problem? Even if it a problem we both can't do anything, because it only one door that leads out of your office, I would have used the window but your building is so high up so......... To summarize everything we are spending our night together.

"What's wrong with this girl, she just keeps talking and talking non stop."

"Miss Stuart, you can go over to the sofa, there a fridge at the left hand of the room, help yourself with anything inside. "

Thank you sir. When I went to the fridge there was literally nothing but, bottled water. Who in the world will take only water and be satisfied? But what can I do, he is a hot weirdo, that maltreats people like me, because we are so, so sweet.

I stared moving across the room and I saw a library. I began going through the books and everything and I saw something like a safe, luckily it was open. As I opened the safe, I saw document and something caught my attention. It says

" Hi, Mr Gilbert Henshaw my name is Ian Samson, thank you for your help throughout all the years, you helped me take care of my family and I gave my children, the best life because of the piece of land you gave me. I will like to return it back, I have made enough money to buy my own land and will complete the payment in 3 days, am very grateful.

Thanks, Mr Henshaw.

This letter was mind blowing, it was a revelation, the Henshaw's didn't take the land , they borrowed him the land.Did Jason know this?

I took out my phone to call him but I left it in my office.

"Miss Stuart!!! What are you doing here?!"

Am sorry Mr Henshaw, I was just going through some documents, am very sorry for the intrusion of privacy.Even though it not my concern, but why don't you tell Jason? You know all this and you just shut your mouth and allow him to destroy himself? Am really mistook you for someone else.

"What Jason? Did I know why he is mad, you are his girlfriend so you know everything about him right? You even know why he is mad? Wow!

I was really annoyed and angry, I didn't know when my hand moved. I landed a slap on Nathan's face, I was just crazy at that moment.

" I was bewildered, I was just staring at Alexa, the audacious she had to slap me.I haven't seen any girl like her, all girls I have met in my life always just try to please me even when am wrong and need someone to reprimand me.Bow dare you Miss Stuart?"

My senses came back to my body and I realized I just made the worst decision of my life, the audacity I had to raise my hand to slap him, I could loose my job, oh no. Am so sorry Mr Henshaw, my hands just moved on their own I was really annoyed, please forgive me and don't sack me, I promise I will never repeat this again.He started moving towards me, slowly, slowly and he was getting closer to me, I was stepped back, maybe he wanted to revenge, but a slap from his hands... I could faint, he came closer and closer and more closer to me, to the extent that I could feel his breath on my face, he then brought his face closer to my ear and whispered. "You had the audacity to slap me, and how will you make up for it Miss Stuart."

The question came to me as a shock, I was actually expecting to hear you are fired or something else, but I heard this. I could not reply, I froze all I could do was stare at him, he was still very close to me. He place his hands on the book shelf and whispered to my ear "You have not yet answered my question, miss Stuart. I am actually a very impatient man and I need an answer.

Mr Henshaw, I said pushing him away from me, I was really scared.

Mr Henshaw, Jason is not the bad guy here, he actually thought you took everything away from his family and killed his parents. That why his out for revenge. It must have been really painful for him to live without his family for so many years.
