The Werewolf Witch and her Alpha Mate

Chapter 6

Emma's POV

As Jake promised, he had planned our first date on Saturday and I was super excited for my first date, Sam and Nate also started the training with me and I realised that like me Nate was also a witch and werewolf, as his dad was a werewolf. Sam told me that her mate died a few years ago while trying to protect Nate from the rogues. She gave me a book of spells which I have to read every night and next day she would help me practice a few of them. It was fun and we started off with easy spells like making an ice rose from water, controlling the wind, setting fire to anything by just thinking about and putting off fires by just thinking. Everything was fun, mum Mia and I even went shopping to buy me a summer dress for my first date and I was so excited. Jayden and Mia wanted to double date but Jake refused as he wanted this to be special for me, he told them that we could double date on our second date which got me all excited thinking about going on a second date with Jake. While I still called mum and dad 'Mum and Dad' my relationship with Jake changed, yes he was still over protective of me but now it felt good, we would kiss sometimes when no one was looking as none of the pack members knew. A couple of unmated she wolves would also throw themselves at Jake but he would push them away and then find an opportunity to cuddle with me. 

It was finally the day of our first date and I could not sleep all night, the butterflies in my stomach were driving me crazy. Mia helped me dress while mum was taking pictures. 'What if I mess up our date?' I asked to no one in particular while adjusting my dress. 'You won't just remember to let him lead' mum said and I nodded. So finally I was ready and walked out of my room only to find Jake waiting at the bottom of the staircase with a bouquet of red roses in his hand (by the way I love red roses). 'You look gorgeous' Jake said and kissed me deeply, mum snapped a few pics and then we left on our first date.

We drove for a few minutes before we reached the lake, there was a white gazebo with silk cloth set up, rose petals were all over the place and it smelt heavenly apart from my handsome mate, his scent was sufficient to put me in a trance. Inside the gazebo were two chairs and a table with candles, wine and all my favourite snacks and desserts. 'Wow, this is so amazing' I said and Jake smiled puffing his chest out with pride which looked so cute by the way. We spent hours eating talking he had even set up a projector and we watched a movie while laying near the lake, we even stripped and shifted in our wolf forms allowing them to feel each others company. Everything was perfect, our wolves played in the water they cuddled with each other and when we shifted back we did the same, not really caring that we were naked. The entire place was sealed thanks to Sam, so that no one could come there by mistake or ruin our date, she had put a protective invisibility shield which made it look like an ordinary lake and no one would be able to see us. 

After spending almost the entire day together we finally headed home and I made it a point to tell Jake how wonderful our date was and how much I love him for all that he has done for me. We went on a many more dates and spent a lot of time together, he even told all the pack members as a few days ago he saw a couple of unmated warrior wolves staring at me with hungry eyes making him and his wolf growl at them and chasing them around the pack borders, those whom he caught he punished them by making them run around the pack borders 50 times which was a good exercise for them actually. 

I learnt a lot from Sam and Nate too. Nate was a little weird around me, I would always find him staring at me weirdly and it made me really uncomfortable, but he is a good teacher. This morning however when I woke up I had an ugly feeling in my gut, I felt like someone was watching me, I pushed off the feeling when I did not find anyone around and continued doing my work. We were busy training when I heard twigs snapping,  we were training the border today along with a few warriors. Someone was definitely hiding in the woods on the other side of the border but I could not see who it was.

From no where a big gush of wind and leaves came towards us and encircle me in particular creating a wall between me and everyone else. I was trying to call out for Jake but then I heard a voice and the leaves on the ground swirled into a figure of a man. 'Who are you?' I asked and he laughed. 'I am the Vampire King and I want you to know that you are mine and I will be back for you on your 20th birthday which is a few months from now, you will mate with me making the strongest supernatural in the world and you will bare my children. If you don't obey me I will kill your mate Jake in front of your eyes and then I will take you forcefully' he said and laughed before the leaves just dropped to the ground. 'Em, Em answer me' Jake yelled from the other side of the leaves wall and with one final push he managed to make a hole in the wall and all the leaves fell to the ground. 'Are you okay, my love?' Jake asked as his eyes and hands scanned my body for any injuries. 'I am fine Jake, but we need to complete the mating process quickly, I fear I don't have a lot of time left' I said and Jake let out a ferrel growl which shook the earth. 'Jake please calm down that was only a message from the vampire king, and I know it will get worse when he actually comes to take me away' I said as tears rolled down my face, Jake lifted me in his arms bridal style and ran to our room in the pack house.
