Athalia continued to stare at the door, having her hand already on the doorknob; but lacking the courage to pull it open. She shook her head. "Maybe I should not go", she slowly stepped back. Her tummy immediately grumbled, reminding her of her present predicament. She inhaled deeply. Bottling up more courage, she grabbed the door knob, pulling it open. Pushing her head out, she glanced through the long corridor that led to the stairs. She sighed softly, gingerly stepping unto the corridor carpet. She instantly felt another wave of wariness consume her—She gulped, suppressing it with the cries of starvation in her belly. She clutched her hands at her sides, stepping forward. She refused to shut the door, feeling it'd be easier for her to run back in if she spotted the prince down
