Esther groaned softly, turning her body in the opposite direction for comfort. Lazily tasting her mouth, she let out a yawn, pulling her eyes open.
"Holy f**k!" She instantly flinched.
Bright brown eyes locked on her.
Esther slowly pulled away, clutching unto the blanket over her body. The child pushed out a teethy smile. "Hello!" The child's smile widened.
Esther slowly pushed her backwards, sitting up right. The child mimicked her movement as well, having her short blonde hair hang over her bandage wrapped on her head.
Esther scrunched her brows. "Y- You are up?"
"Yep!" She nodded energetically. "I woke up since dark! I was watching you sleep!" The smile didn't erase from her face.
