333 Words
The second day in class at federal University of technology Owerri, dawned with a crisp autumn breeze, carrying a hint of anticipation. As i entered the second class of the day, i couldn't shake the feeling of curious eyes following me every moment I move. Whispers fluttered through the room like fallen leaves, and i caught snippets of hushed conversations about the new student who seemed to have appeared out of nowhere. I went straight to the lecture hall, i tried to focus on the professor's lecture, but the weight of scrutiny bore down on me like a heavy cloak. As the class progressed, i felt the intensity of the stares intensify, as if i were under a microscope, dissected by the gazes of my peers, I felt small shy, when all eyes on me.. When the professor posed a question to the class, i raised my hand tentatively, unsure of what to expect. As i began to answer, my body was shaking, first Time to answer questions in the university, though i got the answer but it wasn't me, I told myself' what makes me to raise hand to answer question, why the confidential in me it's afraid.. I decided to stop answering questions, the worst part of it, when you stood up to answer questions , all eyes will be on you.. That's the point I rely on.. I noticed a shift in the room. The whispers quieted, and all eyes turned to me, their expressions a mix of surprise and admiration. My analysis was insightful and articulate, drawing nods of approval from the professor and impressed murmurs from her classmates. By the end of the class, i had not only answered every question with poise but had also captured the attention and respect of those around me. As i left the classroom, i couldn't help to put on smile on my face. The stares that once felt like a burden now seemed to hold a sense of wonder and respect.
