June’s POV The O’Shea’s were surrounding me, coming up on both sides and boxing me in. ‘Come on Sparrow! We’re almost home!’ ‘I’m sorry June, we just aren’t healed enough yet.’ We were flagging, our body getting to the end of its reserved strength. ‘I’m not going to make it much longer.’ One of the wolves nipped at our heels, almost in a teasing way. They had been goading me on in circles all night, wearing me out as much as they could. I knew the area and figured I was close to home, but that seemed like an impossible task to reach with the four wolves that were here now. ‘They’re telling me that they’re allowed to have fun with you and that their alpha is waiting to take his mate.’ Sparrow panted, our paws hitting the earth in rapid succession. ‘Well we aren’t gonna let that happen!
