June’s POV “Miss Crawford?” Paul, the owner stared at me like I had grown an extra head, taking in my outfit. He was probably not expecting to see the dress he just sold so soon. “Paul, thank you for helping my husband here. I loved the dress so much that I just had to wear it right away, right Hank?” I watched Paul collect himself, the stare becoming one of curiosity now. “So you’s gone and got hitched? That’s splendid! Although, you should have come here and bought a wedding dress for yourself. I have one that I just got in, French silk no less, for one fifty.” Paul hurried around the counter, picking up a large box along the way. “No Paul; but thank you. I’ve come in today to just get some supplies and order lumber in.” “Ah, your barn? Sorry to hear about the trouble you’ve had.”
