Grant linked me, informing us all what had happened. ‘Go after her, kill the loner. If human’s are with you, he more than likely won’t shift in front of them.’
‘Yes sir.’
Things were going well aside from June’s departure; but I knew for a fact that they could have only left sometime near late afternoon or supper time. I had the town watched after all, and that Claud was a sneaky bastard. I had someone from the pack go and keep an eye on him, knowing what the Ranger’s did to deserters.
‘Alpha, what should we do in the meantime? The men here are starting to get antsy.’ Someone linked me from the barracks, a low level beta.
