Prince Caspian opened the door to his private chambers, expecting to find some lowly servant hovering outside and listening to his conversation. He was not unfamiliar with the sly and gossipy nature of servants in any palace. But instead, he found Lady Diana, his intended bride, standing in the doorway with a look of absolute shock and terror on her face.
