CHAPTER 42 LAUREN MOSS We stay here for a while until they return. Hailey comes with them too, to my horror. But I'm so disturbed and so tired that I don’t even have the energy to care. “Bye!” Apia says, saying her goodbyes. “Bye!” we say back, and she leaves. “It looks like you didn’t sleep at all, Lauren,” Hailey comments, and her tone is not as attacking as before, but it’s still fake. She’s fake. “I didn’t sleep,” I reply, and she nods and looks at Blake, who had just come back from another room here, and he looks at me. “Let’s go,” he says, and my heart simply skips a beat. “See you later,” Samuel says, and I smile. I only didn’t ask about the present because they seem a bit busy, and he apparently just came straight here from a mission. Only James isn’t here. I stand up
