MONA

I kept avoiding Damon after what happened that night.

Am so ashamed to face him even though a part of me wanted to ask him if he came to my room that night.

What if i asked him only to find out i was the only one having those wet dreams, how embarrassing that will be.

He might think I have a thing for him which will only make him see me as one of those ladies out there desperate to be on his bed.

I would rather never talk about it with him.

The wedding was tomorrow and as such, we did some little rehearsals with the princess, giving her a tip of what her makeover would look like on her wedding day and fortunately for me she loved it.

Miss Charlotte called to know how we have been doing so far with our work and if the princess is satisfied with the makeup shoot we have been doing for the past days.

I assured her the princess loved our work and there was nothing to worry about.

Among the guests who arrived at the castle was Mrs Roosevelt Kingston, my very first customer who is the reason am still employed at wonder woman.

"Wow Mona, you made it!.

Am so very excited to see you.

You know what Darling, am so very proud of you and am sure the princess will love your work."

"I can't thank you enough Mrs Roosevelt for giving me an opportunity to be here. Thank you so much am so grateful" I we hugged and kissed in greetings.

"Its nothing Mona, you are a talent and so you deserve it".

I was about leaving for my room when a stunning looking Lady walked past me.

The vibes she gave say she's the bossy kind of lady but very classy and beautiful.

"Wow....will you look at that.... Said a very surprised at Sarah who hung onto me.

"I never imagined some people can be this beautiful, even the men are looking so hot!, down from the cook... to the guards... My God!." Sarah exclaimed.

"Please don't get us in trouble Sarah..."

Mona said smiling sarcastically.

"I won't Mona..."

Ever since I came here, everything was kind of strange to me and Sarah was right about everyone looking very beautiful and handsome and very big too.

This place is really different from other places I've been to.

The other night I thought I saw a big giant black dog outside my window, its eyes were sparkly green and it shone in the night.

Never in my life have I seen a dog with such colour of eyes.

The strange part of it all was the fact that there was no dog in the castle.

I wondered where it came from, maybe it lost it's way.

" This lady is a looker" Sarah said still admiring her.

The lady and the princess embraced each other excitedly. They must be very good friends considering how happy they are to see each other.

"Its nice to see you Fiona".

"Nice to see you too Xena. Am so happy for you..

I heard His Majesty came to the castle".

"Yes he came, you don't know how happy i am to see you Fiona".

Xena felt uncomfortable because she knew what this meant.

As far as she knew, Damon would never marry Fiona specially now that he's finally found his mate.

She also knows Fiona will be very furious to know she wont be a queen anymore.

But what l she was really afraid of is what Alpha Ferdinand might do if he finds out the king has found his mate.

Everyone knows how ambitious and cunning he was.

This could put her brother's mate in danger.

"It's best i talk to Damon about this". She said to herself.

Damon was in his study on the phone with Patrick when Xena walked in.

"I need to talk to you Brother"

Damon ushered her in as he dismissed his phone call with Patrick.

"Have you decided on what to do about Fiona now that you've found your mate?".

Damon kept silent for a moment in thoughts, then he finally heaved a long sigh.

"Nobody is to know I've found my mate, and everyone who already knows must be strictly warned to keep shut.

"That's exactly what I was thinking.

But we have to to wary of Alpha Ferdinand for he might find out sooner or later."

Damon was already having the thoughts of breaking off his engagement with Fiona since he found his mate.

He's just patiently waiting for the best opportunity to do so.

"By the way I think your mate might have known you are already engaged and that might make it harder for you to pursue her".

Xena said smiling at confused looking Damon.

Mona thought about what happened earlier. Why does she feel the lady called Fiona was someone very attached to the king.

"who is she?, could she be one of his women, because she doesn't look like family." Mona thought

"Hey Mona, guess what I heard today"

Sarah said looking highly excited

"Not again"... Mona rolled her eyes.

"Sarah never gets tired of gossiping gosh!"

" What did you find out this time?".

"You won't believe it!, that beautiful looking young lady we saw some moments ago is a model and that explains why she was looking so different and beautiful.

Now wait for the biggest news..."

Mona was anticipating to hear because she had long wanted to hear about her.

"I also heard her name is Fiona and she's engaged to the King and they will be getting married soon".

Sarah said in excitement.

"What!",

Mona's screamed which got Sarah startled .

"Okay Sarah, am feeling very sleepy now, you should go to bed early too you know we have a long day tomorrow ".

Mona was furious at this news.

" So he's engaged to be married but he dared to flirt with me, the nerve!".

Mona tossed in her bed and very angry at herself as to why she could not stop thinking about king Damon.

"In fact why would she care about who he's engaged or married to, he can marry and flirt with as many women as he wants that's not her problem.

She thought about her boyfriend who she still couldn't get to.

She was getting very worried and so she planned to leave for London the second the wedding was over.

Meanwhile, Damon was on his bed lying down and thinking about his mate and what she was up to and suddenly he heard a knock on the door.

From the smell he knew who it was.

" Can I come him Your Majesty " Fiona asked very anxious to see Damon.

"Come in". he replied.

Fiona came in looking very happy but sad at the same time.

Damon sat up the moment she came into his room.

" So why are you here".

"Common your majesty, I have every reason to be here, Xena is my friend and I am the fu..." Fiona quickly corrected herself.

"And I also came to apologize for what my Dad said to you, the wedding is totally in your hands and we really had no right to pressure you."

Damon thought about his mate, he knew he can't be married to Fiona the more since had already found his mate.

He also knew Alpha Ferdinand will find out about his mate sooner than later, but he would protect his mate at all costs.
