Three weeks had passed since the lottery arena and I just felt dead inside. I couldn’t get out of my cot, I just laid there day after day in my barrack. Unable to find the will or the strength to carry on each day. What was the point? Ms. Anne would come check on me everyday, most days I just ignored her. Others, I would growl at her and tell her to f**k off.
Koda had come about a week ago. He picked me up and threw me into an ice bath. I didn’t flinch, I just laid there. What he had said to me, I don’t really even remember. It was all just white noise at this point.
