EMILIA woke up in an unfamiliar bed and room, her brow furrowed in confusion. A throbbing headache made her wince. “Where am I?” she muttered to herself, noticing she wasn’t wearing the fitted red dress she’d had on the night before. Instead, she was in a man’s shirt that reached mid-thigh. Had she had a one-night stand? What had happened? She couldn’t remember anything. The last thing she recalled was dancing with a man, him offering her a drink. Then, someone had embraced her and carried her away. “Damn it!” she whispered, scanning her surroundings. The room was small, with a tiny, closed window and a small bed that could only fit one person. Underneath the bed, she saw a comforter lying on the floor.
