Chapter 20
Sienna’s Pov
The dining room exploded into confusion after Roman showed the photograph.
I grabbed the picture from Luca’s hand and stared at Noah’s frightened face. My chest tightened painfully. His hands were tied behind the chair. There was blood near his lip.
“Oh my God,” I whispered.
Luca looked frozen beside me. “This cannot be real.”
Roman crossed his arms calmly. “It is very real.”
Victor looked disturbed for the first time that night. “Gabriel Moretti is alive?”
Damian narrowed his eyes at Roman. “Where did you get this?”
Roman smiled slightly. “I have connections everywhere.”
I looked at him desperately. “Where is my brother?”
“I do not know the exact location yet,” Roman answered. “But Gabriel contacted one of my men directly.”
Luca snatched the photo back angrily. “What did he say?”
Roman’s expression darkened. “He wants to meet you.”
The room became quiet again.
Clara slowly sat down like her legs suddenly became weak. Adriana looked terrified now, no longer acting proud and untouchable.
Victor poured another drink with shaky hands. “Gabriel should have stayed dead.”
Luca looked at him sharply. “You knew he survived.”
Victor stayed silent.
“That means yes,” I said coldly.
Ethan stepped closer to me carefully. “Sienna, maybe we should leave.”
“No,” I replied immediately. “Not without Noah.”
Luca looked at Roman again. “Tell me everything.”
Roman leaned against the wall. “Gabriel contacted me two days ago. He said the game between the Morettis and Vales is finally ending.”
Damian laughed bitterly. “Sounds dramatic.”
Roman ignored him. “He also said Luca failed him.”
Luca’s jaw tightened hard. “I never worked for him.”
“Maybe not willingly,” Roman replied.
I looked between them in confusion. “What does that mean?”
Nobody answered immediately.
Then Clara spoke softly. “Gabriel used Luca’s revenge from the beginning.”
Luca turned toward her fast. “What are you talking about?”
Clara looked nervous but continued anyway. “I found old emails years ago between Gabriel and Victor. They were partners before everything collapsed.”
Victor slammed his hand against the table. “Enough, Clara.”
“No,” she said firmly. “People deserve the truth now.”
Damian watched everything with amusement again. “This family dinner became fun.”
I ignored him and focused on Clara. “What truth?”
She swallowed hard. “The plane crash was not an accident.”
The room fell silent again.
Luca stared at her. “Explain.”
Clara’s eyes filled with guilt. “Victor and Gabriel planned it together.”
Victor stood up instantly. “That is a lie.”
“You know it is not,” Clara replied. “I heard you arguing with Gabriel before the crash happened.”
Adriana looked horrified. “Victor…”
He pointed angrily at Clara. “You were a child. You understood nothing.”
“But I remember enough.”
I felt sick hearing all this.
Luca looked completely lost now. The anger inside him seemed mixed with pain and confusion.
Damian suddenly spoke quietly. “I remember that night too.”
Everybody looked at him.
His smile disappeared for the first time since arriving. “Victor wanted control of the company. Gabriel wanted revenge and money. The crash solved problems for both of them.”
Victor looked furious. “You disappeared willingly after the crash.”
“Yes,” Damian admitted. “Because somebody tried to kill me afterwards.”
Clara gasped softly.
Ethan rubbed his forehead slowly. “This keeps getting worse.”
Roman looked entertained again. “Powerful families always destroy themselves eventually.”
I walked closer to Luca carefully. “Are you okay?”
He looked down at the photo again. “No.”
His voice sounded broken.
That scared me more than his anger ever did.
I touched his arm gently. “We will get Noah back.”
Luca looked at me slowly. “After everything you learned tonight, why are you still beside me?”
“Because right now my brother needs us.”
He stared at me quietly for a second before nodding once.
Victor suddenly spoke again. “Gabriel is dangerous. If he truly returned, then nobody here is safe.”
Damian smirked. “Now you are scared?”
Victor ignored him completely.
Roman checked his phone. “Actually, Gabriel sent another message already.”
Luca stepped forward. “Read it.”
Roman lifted his eyes calmly. “Come alone if you want the boy alive.”
“No,” I said immediately. “Luca is not going alone.”
Roman continued reading. “Bring Sienna too.”
My stomach dropped.
Luca’s face darkened instantly. “Absolutely not.”
“But Noah is my brother,” I argued.
“And Gabriel is insane,” Luca replied sharply.
Damian suddenly laughed softly. “Looks like Father already knows your weakness.”
Luca grabbed Damian by the collar fast. “Do not call him that.”
Damian pushed his hand away roughly. “Truth hurts.”
Victor stepped between them angrily. “Stop acting like animals.”
Roman watched calmly like he expected violence at any second.
Clara looked close to tears. “Please stop fighting each other.”
But nobody listened.
I looked at Roman again. “When is the meeting?”
“Tomorrow night.”
“Where?”
“He will send the location tomorrow.”
Luca shook his head immediately. “This is a trap.”
“Obviously,” Damian replied dryly.
I turned toward Luca firmly. “We still have to save Noah.”
“I know,” he answered quietly.
Ethan moved closer to me again. “You should let the police handle this.”
Victor laughed bitterly. “The police are already connected to half our business deals.”
Ethan looked disgusted. “You people really ruin everything you touch.”
Nobody denied it.
Roman started walking toward the exit slowly. “Prepare yourselves. Gabriel enjoys psychological games.”
Luca stopped him. “Why are you helping us?”
Roman looked back with a calm smile. “Because chaos interests me.”
Then he left the room.
The silence afterwards felt heavy.
Clara wiped her eyes quietly before speaking again. “Luca, if Gabriel truly controls this, then you can not trust anyone.”
Damian smirked. “Especially me.”
Luca looked exhausted now. “For once, I agree with you.”
I moved closer to him slowly. “We will figure this out together.”
He stared at me carefully. “After tonight, you still believe that?”
“Yes.”
His expression softened slightly.
Then Victor suddenly spoke from behind us. “There is something else all of you should know.”
Everyone looked toward him again.
He hesitated for the first time all night.
Finally, he said quietly, “Gabriel Moretti is not only after revenge anymore.”
Luca frowned. “What does that mean?”
Victor looked directly at me.
“He believes Sienna is the key to destroying all of us.”
My heart started beating faster.
“Why?” I asked softly.
Victor’s face became pale.
“Because your parents stole something from him before they died.”
