Elizabeth I walk through the gate of my ex-husband's house, and before I even get to the porch, a pregnant Emma saunters toward me, her smile as bright as the sun. “Elizabeth,” she greets, her arms outstretched. “It's a pleasure to have you here.” I accept her hug and put on my best smile. “The pleasure is mine.” “Come, let me show you to the backyard,” she says, walking ahead of me through the house and out back, me trying to match her slow pace the entire time.
