A WARRIOR FROM OTHER LANDS

TOWN OF LAGAARD The wagon stopped in what seemed to be the center of town where a small girl was leaving. Manari: This town hasn't changed much Once the girl gets off the cart, she observes the town around her. Elder: What time will it be, miss? Manari: First, I'm going to find some companions to help me enter the labyrinth. Elder: Apparently this is the best place to find adventurers The old man pointed to a bar not far away that had a sign with a picture of a fish skeleton. Elder: Bar "Spiny Fish" Once the girl entered the bar she wondered where to start. Manari: (Right, this is my first hurdle. I'll do my best!) The girl approached the first person she met. Manari: Hey, excuse me! I started by asking the first person I saw about joining their guild. A knight carrying a great sword on his shoulder. Gentleman: Sorry ma'am, our guild has no vacancies right now Manari: I-is that... Paladin: You are a holster, right? If you were a doctor or a sorceress, you would be perfect Manari: It's a shame... The gentleman noticed the weapon that the girl had attached to her belt, a kind of small pistol with a triple elongated barrel equipped that would allow it to fire three bullets one after the other unlike a normal pistol. Gentleman: Yes, but... taking children with me would be a hassle Manari: I-I'm sorry! The girl walked away from the gentleman until she reached the counter where an older man was cleaning some glasses. The bartender was attracted by the girl's sigh. Bartender: Ha ha ha, taking a break? Do you want a drink? If you drink something without alcohol, I will discount the glass Manari: Thank you very kind, then I'll take... Young: Old man... Manari, Male: Tomato of Judgment. Hm? After that the two of them looked at each other curiously. The other person was a tall man with samurai gloves and shoulder pads, he was equipped with a long thin sword on his belt and had somewhat long black hair with eyes that reflected disinterest or boredom. Manari: (Ah, this person is a Samurai. They are swordsmen from a foreign country who wield one-bladed swords called katanas) Samurai: Man, who is this girl? Bartender: A new adventurer looking for people to enter the maze The girl watched him as he drank from his glass. Manari: (This person has a masterful aura. So, this person must be an expert) After taking his drink, the man got up to leave the place while raising his hand without turning his gaze as a gesture of farewell. Samurai: Thanks for the drink, put it on my account as usual Manari: Um... excuse me! Would you help me through the maze? The samurai stopped his steps and turned his head to look at the girl again. The two looked at each other again for a few more seconds. Samurai: Sorry, find someone else The samurai turned his head and continued with his steps. Bartender: That guy is a good-for-nothing. Kain, he has no companions either. You two should make a new guild Kain: Hey hey, it doesn't make sense what you say. Joining forces with someone else would be a hindrance The girl caught fire upon hearing those words. Manari: Unless you put me to the test Kain: How do you say? Manari: You say that, but ... you don't know if I'll be a hindrance Kain: Oh? The samurai managed a smile as he thought of something. Kain: Man, do we make a bet? Manari: A bet? The man turned his gaze to Manari and gave her a wink with a smile. Kain: If you win, I'll join your guild, but if you lose... Manari: If I lose... Kain: You doubt it...? Bartender: If you lose you will receive all your debt from this bar Manari: Old man!? Kain: Okay, sounds good. You will regret this, old man The two of them went to be located in an open place separated by a few meters. Kain: The rules are simple, if you draw your gun and point it at me, you win. If I prevent you from drawing your weapon, I win. Simple, right? Manari: What will be the starting signal? Kain: Hmm... the old man will drop a coin Bartender: Very good Manari: (I know he won't move within range. And this guy is an expert. I only have one chance to win...) Their gazes meet again. Manari: (He doesn't take me seriously. That should give me a better chance to win) Kain: (Hm ... her aura is changing, she's very focused) Bartender: I'm going to launch it. Ready! The man tossed the coin into the air while the two of them were attentive, waiting for the sound it would make when it fell to the ground. And the coin... fell!
