She didn't say anything but those eyes made him know he was about to get interrogated "It's all Michael's fault" Frederick said defending himself without being asked

"I didn't say anything 😑" Camilla replied blankly

"But still, it's Michael's fault" Frederick defended

"How were you able to buy that necklace?" Camilla inquired making Frederick blink

"...I bought it with money,of course" Frederick joked nervously

Camilla looked at him rather calmly, "Where did you get such a huge amount from"

"I made some investments a month ago and I just received the pay last week"

"Wait,let me get this straight....you received money and bought Helena a necklace??...Have you gone crazy?!!" Frederick chuckled lightly and brought out a box from his pocket "Who said I gave it to her?"

Camilla paused, "This... Didn't the company take it?" She asked slowly

"What were you thinking?" Minny asked in disbelief

'Exactly, what was i thinking?'

"I told you that I reported to them that someone is about to scam the hotel so I asked the manager for the necklace as a reward" He narrated

Looking at the look on Camilla's face, he knew she didn't believe him, but he also knew that she won't ask any more questions

"I'm staying over" She said as she got up

"What? Why? "

"What do you mean by why?"

"I know that you no longer eat breakfast regularly so I'm making you breakfast tomorrow before you go to work"

"Hah...I lost my job" He revealed hurriedly

Camilla pondered on his words for a moment before getting up "Frederick" She called calmly, or rather, she called looking too calm for someone who just found out about this

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you, I was already looking for a job"

"No, it's not your fault, it's mine for overlooking the way you've been acting recently"

"Don't worry, I'm going for a job interview tomorrow and I'm sure I will ace it" Frederick explained

He got up slowly and cupped her face with a reassuring smile "Don't mind the way I'm acting these days, I'm just preoccupied but don't worry, it's still your Ricky" She slowly placed her hands on his and smiled slightly "I want to trust you...but I'm really getting scared that something has happened and you are trying to handle it all on your own"

"You know I will always tell you if something's wrong "

"I know and that's why I'm waiting"

He smiled

"I love you" She whispered softly

"You know I will always do" She continued

"So please come to me when you can't take it anymore, okay"

"I will... I always do" She chuckled

Frederick slowly stepped forward, leaned down and pecked her lips "That's a reward for being the best"

"And what sort of reward is that" She pulled him closer and kissed him

The kiss was brief, gentle and filled with quiet affection and for a moment time stopped for the both of them

"That's what you call a reward" Camilla smiled as she broke the kiss

Her words made Frederick smile immediately and somehow that one kiss broke the tension and questions

The Next Day

Diamond Estate

Clarissa has been here since 4 AM this morning, she couldn't enter as she doesn't have an appointment but she just hope she will succeed

"The Harts are the ones handling the preparation so I registered you in Royals College so you can get close to Ethan Hart, the heir to the Harts and then you have to try to get in his good side so he can help us" Clarissa sighed as she remembered her father's words

She came here to convince Mr. Hart because she doesn't want to go with her dad's plan but if this doesn't work, then she will have bo other choice but to put herself on the line to save the company

A car that she recognized as Mr Hart's drove towards the company gate and she immediately waved making the car stop, with a sigh, she walked towards the window and knocked on it

The window rolled down revealing Mr Hart "Hurry up, I'm busy"

"Mr Hart, I'm Clarissa McDonald from..."

"Oh... it's you guys again,I said it before and I will say it again, I. Am. Not. Partnering. With. Your Company"

"Sir, please..."

"Drive."

Camilla woke up to the see Frederick dressed up in a suit fixing his collar "Good Morning"

"You're awake" He smiled

"Will you go home now or later" Frederick asked as he brushed his hair

"Later....you are going to Michael's place, right?"

"Yeah...I miss aunty"

"Of course you did... you've been avoiding her for a while"

"That's because I don't want Michael to think that I'm trying to take his mom from him"

"Why would Michael think like that....Aunty has been taking care of you since the day you were born and if you hadn't rejected adoption, you guys would have been brothers"

"That's why I rejected adoption"

"It's fine like this... I'm happy this way"
