Chapter 0014

•ESTELLE• Daniel and Gemma barged into Dan's room and found me sitting beside him on the bed, holding his hand and waiting for him to open his eyes. "Is he okay?" I sighed. "He bumped his head last night, but I think he will be okay." "You?" He sneered, waking up. "What did you do to me?" he asked, and his housekeeper and bodyguard looked at me. "I did nothing to him. He tried to force me to sleep with him, but he tripped over that table and passed out." "Are you sure about this?" The bodyguard asked. "If we find out you did anything to the Beta, you'll be in trouble, Miss Fenwick." "What could a helpless omega like me do to him? He can overpower me without trying. Please, you must believe me." "You are lying!" Dan sneered as he got up from the bed and frowned. "I'll make you pay for what you did to me last night. You'd better mark my words and get out of here!" I nodded as I turned to the door and left. When I got to my room, I closed the door, leaned my back against the door, and chuckled. "Oh, Ember. You're such a silly girl. My poor husband is spooked." I laughed and went to shower, and when I came out, Dan was waiting for me at the door with a stick. "You'll be punished today for assaulting your Beta and husband. I want the entire pack to see your shame." "Dan, what are you doing?" My chest heaved, and I grabbed my coat hanging in my wardrobe and put it on. I knew he would want to teach me a lesson when he woke up, but I never thought he would go that far. "Daniel, Kriel," he turned to them at the door. "Grab her." "No, Dan, don't do this, please!" I begged as his bodyguards dragged me outside the door. Dan kept instructing them to put me outside the border, where I would be taught a lesson by rogue werewolves and wild animals. "This will teach her never to disrespect me as her beta and husband. She should spend the whole day outside the border because if she goes inside or runs to another pack's territory, she will be dead." They pushed me outside the border, and I felt as if I was ripped open from the inside out. I felt separated from my pack, and I cried in agony as Dan walked away with his bodyguards and left me there. I felt even more alone when Ember kept quiet and didn't say a word. I curled into the fetal position and hummed a song my mother used to sing to me. I weighed my options because if I ran away, my father would banish me from my pack, and I would be a rogue, but if I stayed, Dan would try everything he could to end my life. “Look at her. It’s Alpha Leonard Fenwick’s daughter,” the hunters chuckled on their way back from the hunt. "She's a disgrace to our pack for what she did to the Beta." "I heard she returned from New York after her ex-husband cheated on her with his new assistant. Poor thing, I guess she didn't find what she wanted when she left." "What is she going to do when her own father banishes her from the pack? We know about werewolves who took their own lives because they couldn't live with the pain of not having a pack or a mate." "A mate?" One of them scoffed. "How could an omega have a mate? People know her secret — that her father had tried to keep from us all these years." They thought I couldn't hear them as they passed through the border, but I could hear them since my hearing had been enhanced. I stood up from the ground and looked at them scoffing. "She is nobody but an ordinary and worthless omega. Her father must be dying of embarrassment and shame for having her as a daughter." "Alpha Leonard's daughter is Seraphina now. She earned that title when she respected her uncle and did everything he wanted her to do." "Poor thing." They walked away, laughing. "Estelle." I tilted my head, and when I saw my father and Nolan behind me, I knelt on the ground and cried. "Please forgive me, Father. I don't want to be married to Dan anymore. He almost killed me when you left." "I can't believe you struck my Beta and humiliated him," he frowned as he leaned forward. "Who do you think will want to marry you or be an alliance of this pack if I have an omega for a daughter? Do you want to embarrass me in front of the world?" "Dan killed my baby," I cried. "He made me sleep in a pigsty and reduced me to an ordinary maid in his house. He won't let me leave the house and has made his subjects treat me with contempt. Doesn't that make him your enemy?" "She has a rotten attitude, Father. She thinks she can get away with everything she does because you're her dad. Estelle will never learn her lesson if we keep treating her like a princess," Nolan sneered as he looked at me and our father. "Nolan!" I stood up, fuming. "I am your sister, and you know why I left home and went to New York. There was no way Knox would’ve wanted me, knowing he was supposed to marry an omega. How could I have stayed to cause our family shame? You are the one who told me to leave, Nolan." "That's ridiculous," he scoffed. "Why would I send you away when your marriage to Knox would've done our pack good? You left home without a word and never looked back.” "That was because of you!" I snapped as I pointed my finger at him. "You made me believe people knew I was an omega and that Knox would know the truth and jeopardize our father's position as the Alpha." "She's lying, Father. I could never do such a thing." "You've done a lot in one day, Estelle, and as the Alpha of the Blue Moon Howlers, I banish you from our territory. You will be severely punished if we see you anywhere near our borders. From today, I'm no longer your father and Alpha." I looked at my father and Nolan, shocked that my father could do such a thing to me. I was at a loss for words. "Leave, rogue! Go back to the human world where you belong!" My father roared, and I turned around and ran into the woods. 'Don't worry, Estelle. This will be the last time they ever hurt you.'
