"You should leave her, babe. I told you that my father is Leonard Fenwick, the esteemed wealthy businessman who owns the Fenwick Bank. I'll speak with him about the contract with the bank."
"Oh, June, you don't have to do favors for me. It wasn't because of your family's status that I wanted to be with you, but I guess I would love a contract with the Fenwick Bank." I smiled as I cupped her face and kissed her.
She was smart and the woman I needed to get Fenwick's construction tender worth over a billion dollars.
If June could get me a contract with Fenwick's Bank, they would sponsor my upcoming construction projects and possibly give me their construction tender contract.
Every businessperson in the country knew how powerful the Fenwick family was, and they all wanted to do business with them or get sponsored by them to get their businesses off the ground.
"I love you, Asher. So, I'll do anything for you if you promise to make me the only woman in your life." She leaned back and looked at me as she unbuttoned my shirt.
I loved Lana and didn't know how to look at June and tell her I wanted to be with her.
What Lana said about our divorce was still stuck in my mind, which made me come to see June, hoping she would f**k me so good that I would forget everything Lana had said.
Though my mother and sister wanted me to believe that Lana cheated with my driver, I knew she didn't do it.
She had never lied or cheated on me before, but I felt it was right that she believed she did something wrong, so she would beg me to stay in our marriage while I strung June along.
"You are the only woman in my life."
June giggled as she took off my shirt and her clothes, spreading my legs on the chair before she knelt and loosened my pants.
I hung my head over the chair and groaned softly as she covered my d**k with her mouth, swirling her tongue around my head and making me completely imprisoned within the walls of her warm mouth.
"Hmm..." She moaned as I released inside her sweet mouth and giggled as she swallowed every drop. "f**k, that was so hot."
There was an aggressive knock as I was about to pin her against the table and give her what she wanted.
"Are you expecting someone?" I asked as I dressed up, feeling bummed that someone had ruined the mood for us.
"No, actually, but that might be my father's sidekick. He sends someone to check on me sometimes when I'm ignoring him," she chuckled. "Don't worry, I'll send them away."
She went to the door, and someone slapped her in the face, making her lose her balance before Hazel walked in, fuming.
I was a bit confused to see her in June's office and wondered how she had found me.
After confronting Lana last night about Wayne, I went to June's house and spent the night at her place before we came to her office in the morning.
"I knew you'd be here," she snarled. "You lied to me, you jerk!"
"What are you doing here, Hazel? Do you realize what you've done?" I leaned toward her, angry at how she humiliated June by slapping her in the face.
"You slept with me after promising to promote me as an assistant secretary only for me to be served with a termination letter this morning. How could you do this to me?" She snapped. "If you think I'll let you get away with this like Lana did, I'll show you that no one messes with me and gets away with it."
"First, you shouldn't have slapped June, and second, what do you think you'll do to me, Hazel? Your father is on probation at his workplace, and I can get him fired, and I'll get your mother off her dialysis treatment if you dare do anything to jeopardize my image."
June leaned over and stood beside me with her arms folded across her chest. "My father is Leonard Fenwick. What do you think he will do to the person who dared to slap his daughter on the face?"
"Miss Fenwick—" Hazel stuttered. "I'm sorry, I didn't know. Please forgive me. Mr. Stormfield, I'm sorry." She looked at me. "I wasn't thinking."
"Good." June sneered as she closed the small gap between them. "Now, get lost, bitch."
Hazel hurried out the door without sparing me a single look.
"I liked that." I pulled her waist and placed a gentle kiss on her lips. "You're everything I ever imagined you to be. Fierce and brave. You're my kind of woman."
"I know," she giggled.

“Another round, please.” I placed the empty glass of whiskey on the tray and nodded as the waiter took it and went to the bar.
Jake cleared his throat and looked at me. "Is everything okay? You've been here since this afternoon, and you have said nothing about going home."
"I don't want to go home."
"Didn't you get married yesterday?" He looked at me, and I rolled my eyes.
"I'd rather not speak about that. Lana cheated with my driver and brought shame to my family. How can I call her my wife and be joyful to go home to her after what she's done?" I looked over at the booth opposite ours, wondering when Haley would knock off from work.
She was the one I was eyeing for the night, and I wasn't going anywhere without her.
"Damn. That doesn't sound like Lana. Are you sure she cheated?"
My cell phone rang as I was about to answer him, and when I realized who it was, my whole day felt ruined.
"Little brother, it's been a long time. I'm in town and hoping to see you tomorrow morning for lunch. I'll send you the details in the morning. By the way, congratulations on your wedding. I didn't know you had it in you to be locked down."
"Who was it?" Jake asked after I ended the call.
"My older brother, Killian."
"Seems like the prodigal son has returned."
"Perfect timing." I hissed as I scanned for anyone coming with my drink.
"What are you going to do with Lana? She cheated on you and will cause your family terrible publicity when the news of her affair comes out."
"Lana will remain my wife. She doesn't belong to anyone but me, and she knows that. But I'll make her pay for what she did."
