chapter 1

Emma's pov

Hello!!!

My name is Emma Dale I'm 24 years old. My parents died when I was 10...... yeah I know it's terrible losing both parents at such a young age right?, well I have my bro Jake He's been the one taking care of me since our parents died and I really appreciate it.

Jake can be so overprotective at times but I do love him cuz he was always there for me. He isn't married but he's dating Amber. Amber has been he's girlfriend for three months now and we are close.. real close like sisters.

As usual i wake up in the morning, do some morning stretches before I go for my morning jog

usually I'll go to the gym if there was one close by ,but the only gym around is located some blocks away. After my morning jog, I went to take a shower and I got dressed for work.

I ate toast and coffee for breakfast. I love my coffee with extra sugar , cream and milk and I love to brew my coffee my self . I made extra for later and then I wore my sneakers and off I went.

I'm a nurse at Hiverwood hospital, and I'm very good at my job. The main reason why I decided to be a nurse is because I want to save lives, maybe if someone was there to save mom and dad they would be here with me but fate happened.

immediately the taxi dropped me off the LSV arrived seemed like an emergency, an old man who was injured was wheeled into the hospital.

I immediately helped in pushing the stretcher into the ward where he would be prepared for surgery, after that he was wheeled in to the operating room.

After what looks like 4 hours of operation the stretcher was wheeled out of the operating room.

the operation was intense while trying to save him, all of a sudden the monitor started beeping again and then we had to look for loop holes on what we went wrong and after what felt like three to four hours we saved him.

"phew I'm so exhausted... that was close. "i said to Alex

" yh that was Soo close.. we would have lost him." replied Alex .

" Emma you would have to watch over him till he wakes up."

" ok Doctor Kay. "I replied.

" Has his family called or anything?"

" No not yet I'll get going now I'm exhausted. "

" ok"

I went into the ward were the old man was.

He looks familiar tho..

Jayden's pov

my name is Jayden Brown, I'm 30 yrs old and I am managing my grandfather's company. I'm the CEO of Laura's fashion house, actually my grandpa named the company. my grandma's name was Laura but she passed away few yrs ago.

I was in my office sorting out some files when a call came in, I checked the call ID and saw it was Grandpa so I easily picked it up.

"what ?....what do you mean he's in the hospital ?" I screamed when I heard what the person on the other end said and stood up immediately.

without hesitating ,I grabbed my coat and quickly dashed out of my office to the elevator and then quickly to my car and off I went.

Emma's pov

(Tummy rumbles.)" huh it's lunchtime.. am I always this hungry?"i said to myself .

I was about to leave the ward ,when suddenly the door was pushed open and someone stroded in knocking me down.

"ouch hey ... watch were your going."

I said not raising my head up.

" How's he doing?" I heard a male voice which sounded cold.

I immediately raised my head up.

"uh... he had surgery....so we're just waiting for him to ... wake up."I said stammering.

" How long is that going to take?"

" maybe a few days...or months." I replied getting up .

It's actually Jayden Brown....oh my gosh I can't believe I'm standing in front of one of the brown brothers .I was actually freaking out in my head ,not dearing to show it.

we stood in front of each other with the awkward silence.Then all of a sudden..

chapter 2

"Dad.... dad...." I heard a female voice as the door swung wide open .

A woman who looks like she's in her late forties ran in with some other people who look like relatives, so I guess they all are relatives of the old man, who happens to be grand pa Eddie.No wonder he looked familiar.

wait I know who they are .... OMG... t ... they are the Browns family, the popular browns family!!!my heart skipped a bit.

"nurse how is my dad ? "the woman who happened to be Mrs Brown asked.

"He... he.." I said as I was trying to find my composure. "He had an accident and had undergone surgery... his vitals are stable.. so he's getting better but he hasn't woken up yet."i replied.

" how long is it going to take for him to wake up? "she asked.

" it might take a while.. ma'am. "I replied still stammering. oh no it's coming.. I need to get out of here quickly.

" excuse me I'll be out but if u guys need me just press the emergency button right there. "I said pointing to a button close to the bed and leaving.

immediately I stepped out (hiccup.. hiccup.. hiccup.........)I quickly rushed to drink water. I usually have hiccups when I'm nervous and feel very uncomfortable .

"Having one of those hiccups again?" I heard a familiar voice as I turned to face him?

"oh Matt it's u..huh..yh ."i replied still stammering.

" here have some water."he said handing out a bottle of water.

"tnks "i said gulping down the whole content from the bottle.

"Are you okay?"

"yeah, yeah I'm good" I replied walking away to get some fresh air.

are u sure u're okay? your face is all red and u lips are pale.

I just panicked.did u see the brown family just now?

yes I did

and ur not freaking out?

no why would I?
