‘ What she doing here? ‘
‘ How come? ‘
‘ Could we be headed to the same place? ‘
‘ Am I camping with her. ‘
They both exclaimed within. This coincidence was just to absurd.
Alisa in particular had a wary gaze glaring at Prisca. “ What did you do? “ She asked angrily.
“ I did nothing. Trust me, I am no less surprised than you. “ Prisca replied.
“ Humph. And you think I would believe you. “ Alisa humphed, resolute on the accusation.
The duo seated at the front seat attention was drawn to them. This duo were a woman as the driver; also on a cap. Then a man on the second seat. They both had masks that stretched from down the tip of their nose; right below their pair of eyes, to their jaws.
“ What’s wrong? “ The man asked. His voice was strangely warm; as if he wasn’t just a mere instructor to them.
Alas, he got ignored. The woman also butted in, but got the same snobbish treatment. The lasses were so into themselves that no one else was available in their eyesight at the moment. Seeing this, the man strangely gave a hand gesture to his partner to not interfere any longer and let them be. Then he stared at them, scanning and watching their behaviors. It was as if he was gazing at test subjects of his.
“ What do you mean by that? Why can’t you believe me? “ Prisca asked a bit confused about why her words were this sharp.
“ Humph! Simply because I can’t. People like you don’t get to be believed because all you know to do is bite the hand which fed you. “ Alisa didn’t hold back.
“ Please watch your tone. I have tolerated everything. I still don’t know why you deserted that way yesterday night. Now we see coincidentally today and this is what you find it best to do. And here I was expecting an apology. Fine! You are my savior, I would tolerate whatever you say. “ Prisca spoke.
“ Humph! Stop deceiving yourself with your good girl act. If you are such a good girl, what were you doing out so late at night. Also, why did they chase after you? I am starting to believe everything including that farce yesterday was orchestrated by you. “ What coincidence. Coincidentally meeting her, and then coincidentally going camping with her. It was either fate or there was a mastermind. For obvious reasons, she choose to believe the latter; that there was a mastermind.
Noticing the boss was yet to move, Mrs June waved a hand gesture from afar; before their house. “ Is there any problems. “ This was the interpretation of the hand gesture. The one on the receiving end, the man besides the driver also gave his, signifying there was no problem.
As if finally done observing, he suddenly spoke out with an authoritative tone. “ Enough. Everyone on your seat. “
Alisa though angry, didn’t raise her voice at him seeing he was no peer of hers. Instead she spoke out respectfully. “ I am sorry sir. But I can’t sit until someone explains what is going on here. “
Seeing how respectful she was even when angry; ‘ She’s not bad at all. Just a little stressful. ‘ But… He suddenly threw a gaze to his partner on the driver seat. Suddenly, the vehicle engine was turned on. Then it sprinted with a sudden momentum, causing Alisa to get assaulted by frictional forces while unprepared. Next, she fell on her seat.
“ You! “
“ Don’t “ You “ me. Since you like being stubborn, I would have to treat you as I treat such people. “ He spoke.
“ I needed an explanation. How do I even know I am not being kidn*pped? “ Alisa defended.
“ Well, could it be your mom sold you to us. “ The man replied again.
Hearing his words, she suddenly realized how foolish her argument was. What drove her wasn’t caution or sharpness. It was simply anger and her prejudice against Prisca. She said nothing more.
“ You’re just like your mom. “ He muttered.
“ Ehnnn! “ Neither Alisa not Prisca heard him clearly. Only his partner did and threw him a gaze.
“ Nothing serious. “
Thus, the bus continued on it’s journey. Suddenly Prisca asked a question. “ Are we the only ones? “ Alisa’s ears also perked up as this was a question that also bugged herself.
“ No. We still have two people yet to board the bus. We are going to pick them up before embarking on the journey. “ The man explained. This man was none other than Mr Gabriel who met with Mrs June, Alisa’s mom, the previous day.
The bus drove through several street, it’s tyres leaving behind columns of dust on it trail. Everywhere it passed, people took note of it for some reason, probably due to it luxurious style. Soon, the vehicle got to a street and slowed down. Then it stopped.
Outside, before the door of the bus was a tall boy, gazing at the door a bit carelessly. His gaze was so indifferent and emotionless that Alisa felt a bit of chill after their gazes met. Thankfully there was still the window as an obstacle between their gazes, otherwise she might have lost her cool a bit.
At that moment, what she felt wasn’t fear. No. It was something she had always desired, but a negative version of it. It was like she synced with his emotions at that moment and felt what he felt. And what he felt was simply nothing, no emotion. Emotionless. A sought of carefreeness which was one of her innermost desires, only at an extreme level and in a negative direction.
Mr Gabriel got down and stared at him.
“ Good morning sir. “ The boy greeted. The coldness and hoarseness in his voice caused chills to the masses in the bus, including the driver.
“ You did come after all. “ Mr Gabriel taunted.
“ I did. “ He replied hoarsely.
“ Why can’t you just laugh? “ Mr Gabriel asked with a deep gaze filled with expectations plastered on the lad.
“ … “
“ Hahaha. “ The lad suddenly let out with his voice no less colder than before. The manner it resounded caused those within the bus to burst into laughter.
“ * Sigh * I give up. Just get in. “ Mr Gabriel gave up.
Soon the bus resumed its journey, sprinting through roads like a meteorite.
