Camila nodded her head as she said those words, “I caught him kissing a woman in the park, I had no idea that you don’t know about it.” Amora gasped staring at her friend. “I recently found out.” Camila added. “He is seeing another woman?” Amora couldn’t believe her ears. “That shouldn’t get to you at all, just concentrate on healing first, okay?” Camila said, touching Amora’s forehead. “I want to leave here. Let’s go home Camila.” She said and Camila helped her get down from the bed and helped discharge Amora from the hospital. “Andd hello Miss Amora Francesco,” the doctor beckoned to her, “Can I have a word with you?” “Yes, please.” She gave the doctor an audience while Camila stepped out. “I want you to curtail your intake of your drugs, it’s not good for your health?” Drugs? Did she ever take drugs? She was confused but she nodded her head and went after Camila. “What did he tell you?” Camila asked. “Said something about drugs. I think she’s mistaking me for someone else.” “Maybe that’s true. She may be mistaking you someone else.” Camila said with a silent scowl in her voice, “Let’s go.” . . . The limousine opens and Antonio walked out, his secretaries updating him about the happenings of the company for the day. “Your sudden disappearance during the show made the stocks of the company go down a bit.” His female secretary said almost running on her heels as his long legs were too fast to catch up on. “How many percent?” He asked before he got into the elevator which would take him into his private apartment. “10% sir.” She replied while scrolling through the tablet. He eyed the two other secretaries and they affirmed with what she said, “Double up the sales, contact fashion models, we need to put out some designs for auctions, do that before Monday.” He stepped into the elevator. “Yes sir.” They bowed before him while the elevator began to close up. “And don’t tell my wife about my whereabouts.” He said and sighed out. Events of the day replayed in his head until he began to get angry. Buccolini. Who does he really think he is? Gone are the days when he bowed to him, he doesnt do that anymore but, Buccolini has a way of getting on his nerves. He gritted his teeth letting his mind wander away to that woman. That girl whom he had met up a few days ago, he still remembers the mini dress she wore, how she smelt when she sat next to him. Or the way she reacted to his touch, his sharp arousal each time he remembered her never ceases to amaze him. He walked into his living room where his personal security guard was standing; “How is she?” He asked, grabbing a drink from the bar stand and at the same time waiting for his reply. “She’s fine.” “Fine?” He furrowed his brows, as if that’s the answer he was waiting to hear, “Any news?” He redirected his question. “There is. Uhm, she didn’t go out much but she went clubbing yesterday where she was carried out in an unconscious state…” “Unconscious?” He interrupted, his eyes piercing into the guard’s soul, “Which hospital?” He asked nervously , worries written all over his face as he advanced towards the guard, “why didn’t you say anything?” “Because…. I …was … she was… she has never…she has been discharged and I think she’s at her friend’s house at the moment.” The security guard stuttered. Antonio was relieved but at the same time bothered, “Her house address? Bring it to my table, send her some gifts, prepare her apartment, get her a car, a bodyguard and lastly, send her dresses tomorrow, I would like to meet her.” “Yes sir.” . . . “So he hasn’t called yet?” Camila asked as Amora kept pacing around the living room waiting for a beep, a call, a message, anything from Antonio. “I warned you Amora, Antonio is no match for you.” “Maybe he’s busy, maybe he’s…maybe something came up, or maybe…” she sighed out. She has made so many excuses in one night. Their doorbell rang and Camila stood up to go get the door, she opened the door hastily and was shocked to see who was at the door. Eduardo. Her mouth was open and she was looking at him, he had changed, from his head to his toe. He was totally a different man. “Eduardo…” she called and her voice trailed off, she looked at herself and how shabby she appeared to be in her dressing and felt embarrassed. “Hi Camila. Longest time.” “Uh…” She touched her hair, “I’m good, you…uh…” Eduardo smiled and came closer, “Can I come in? What about Amora? I can’t seem to reach her.” Camila pushed the door, “No, you can’t come in, uhmm, just wait up, let me go get dressed and meet you outside.” She said and closed the door coming back into the living room. “Who was that?” Amora asked while she ignored Amora walking straight into her room, going through her closet to search for revealing clothes. Slowly at first until her anger got the better part of her. Really? All he could do was to ask her about Amora? As if he never came to see her but AMORA?!! She flung one of her black dresses out of the closet fuming, suppressing her anger and then, picking up the dress and began to put it on. She must look beautiful, very beautiful. More than Amora tonight. She walked out in the dress and red heels, “Camila, where are you going?” Amora asked, taking in Camila’s flirty dress, “Don’t tell me your ex is back here again.” Camila smiled, “No, it’s a different guy I met today, I want to know what he wants to say to me.” “Awwn, that’s so cute Camila. I’m so happy for you. Take some condoms with you Camila, you may need it.” She teased while Camila laughed walking out to see Eduardo still standing and waiting for her. They headed out to a small coffee cafe and ordered coffee. They were sitting across from each other, “So, you look beautiful.” Eduardo said while she smiled. “Thank you. You don’t look bad either.” She sipped her coffee. “What about Amora?” That question made her mood die immediately, “Amora? Uhm…” her face turned sad and pale, “Amora is dead.” She said her voice shaking, she reached for the wet wipes which was in a box on top of the table. “God! What happened to her? How did she die?” Camila began to cry, “She died in an accident last year after her husband beat her to death for aborting their baby.”
