Callie's POV The text glared back at me from the screen, words that twisted my gut into knots, but I couldn't process it fully, not yet, not with Jenna humming along to the movie's credits beside me. My hands trembled slightly as I locked the phone, shoving it into my pocket like it burned. “Hey, I'm wiped out,” I murmured, forcing a yawn and stretching my arms overhead to sell the exhaustion. “I'm gonna call it a night. That wine hit harder than I thought.” Jenna paused the TV, twisting to face me with a lazy smile, her head propped on one hand. “Already?
