Sophia I allowed myself to feel sad and angry for a few hours after my conversation with Rider, but that was all I could afford. After that, I put my game face on and focused my attention on the upcoming attack. The rest of the day had been a blur between preparations and welcoming the arriving warriors. I really didn’t have time to have a pity party, even if I wanted one. Rider was brooding the rest of the day and made it a point to ignore my existence the best he could.
