(Elara) The morning light felt deceptive. Like it was trying to distract me from the turmoil that was going on in my heart. It poured into my room with warm golden streaks as it was soft and harmless like the world was perfectly normal whereas I had been told that my life was not going to be normal. For a moment, lying under the covers, I almost convinced myself it was. I almost believed I was just any girl, in any house, with a quiet day waiting for me.
