(Damon) Night quickly came as the sky darkened. The night air clung to me like smoke as I stepped into the estate. I could still see broken shards of glass on the floor, a reminder of the syndicate's attack. The lights along the pathway were dim, most of the grounds swallowed in shadow, but I knew the silhouette figure waiting by the fountain even before she turned. Sera.
