📖 CHAPTER 12 – CLAIMED WITHOUT PERMISSION (PART 2) Her body softened into him before she could stop it. And that— That broke something loose. His control slipped. His other hand moved quickly, gripping her hip and pulling her fully against him. Her breath broke on impact. The connection between them surged—stronger, sharper—like something had just locked into place. Her body responded instantly, pressing into him without hesitation, drawn by something she didn’t understand but couldn’t deny. “Jay Kael…” his name left her softer now. Not just a call. Something closer to surrender. His jaw tightened. “You need to stop saying my name like that.” Her brows pulled together slightly. “Like what?” His gaze darkened further. “Like you’re asking for something.” Her breath hitched. “I don’t know what I want.” And that was the truth. But her body— Was already answering. Her fingers pressed more firmly into his chest. His entire body went still. “Careful.” Her breath shook. “I don’t know how to be.” That— That was dangerous. Because neither did he. His head dipped slightly, his breath brushing against her lips—close enough to feel, not enough to take. The space between them disappeared. Her body leaned toward him again, drawn by something deeper than thought. And he froze. Because this wasn’t just instinct. This was something else. Something that didn’t feel like control— Or dominance— But connection. And that was far more dangerous. So instead of closing the distance— He pulled back. Hard. Her breath caught immediately, confusion flashing across her face. “Why do you keep doing that?” she whispered. His chest rose sharply. “Because you don’t understand what happens if I don’t.” Her stomach flipped. “Then tell me.” His eyes locked onto hers. “I lose control.” Silence settled between them. Heavy. Real. And something inside her— Something quiet and newly awakened— Didn’t fear that. It wanted to see it. 🔥 End Chapter 12
