Evander “And also,” she continued when I didn’t immediately respond, “even if I knew about the banquet, how was I supposed to know I’d be attending it as the Luna?” I tilted my head slightly and studied her face. She wasn’t being sarcastic. She was watching me with an open expression and genuinely waiting for an answer. “You’re the Luna now,” I said evenly. “I’ve said that repeatedly already. You’re the Luna now. Anything you do, you do as the Luna. Any event you attend, you attend as the Luna.” A look crossed her face. Then I heard her mutter under her breath, “How the f**k am I supposed to know how a Luna acts?” The words were quiet, clearly not intended for me. Unfortunately for her, my hearing was excellent. To my annoyance, my lips twitched in amusement at the way she grumbled.
