As Cain was lying in bed, about to doze off, the door bell rang. He got up scared that his father is home, so in a hurry he anxiously started walking around the space between his bed and the window. Slightly stealing glances at the front yard to determine whether the person outside was his father or Miss Anna , as his curious eyes roamed all over the place making sure the lighting in his room was fairly dull, he got excited when he saw the small car of David and Miss Anna parked at the servant's quarter . He hurriedly changed from his trousers and went to the back stairs., cautiously climbing down, he ran to the Servant's quarter and tightly hugged Miss Anna." Awwwww, my baby, you missed me ?" Miss Anna asked, Cain, unable to speak anything due to the lump in his throat, just nodded his head and hugged the woman even more tightly with tears rolling down his face. David just shook his head, smiling, " come on man, you guys always do this to me! When am I gonna be invited to your hug sessions without asking?" ." Oh dear ! Stop being such a baby and join in "

The three of them just hugged each other for a couple of seconds before David just had to ruin the moment. "Hey !!! Cain you won't believe this, but in Morroco I found a legit dog lice removal shampoo! Now that stinky dog of yours won't scratch his butt off every day!!" At that, Cain just let out a sad chuckle." "David... Scouty has surgery tomorrow and Lana won't allow me to bathe her dog, I'm just happy enough to pet it once in a while", he said . "Cain! sweety, don't be like that, you must be hungry? No, I bought a lot of different and exotic ingredients from there. So, let me cook you a proper meal ok, goodness I'm positive that while I was gone, none of the maids made you something to eat, right?" Anna said while wiping Cain's tears and pinching his cheeks adoringly. " Well, I guess" . As they enjoyed a hearty meal together, Cain thought that not all the people around him were hurtful, those people among him were so sincere....

Cain's pov

As I hugged Miss Anna all these emotions just flooded out of me and I just started tearing up, I didn't want to show this side of me to others, this loneliness, the hopeless and pathetic side of me, but I couldn't help it. I wanted to be stronger, but I'm scared of living my whole life like this without anyone by my side, in this pit of hollowness and despair.

Even as we were having a meal together, I was at peace seeing people who are so genuine around me and are looking at me with such tenderness.

As we were eating, Miss Anna was giving me all sorts of advice on pretty much everything which is one of her hobbies tho. David and I both glanced at each other silently agreeing to make her change the topic and I signalled David to divert her attention, he looked at me with such a helpless expression that I giggled internally, while also agreeing that I did David pretty badly, that man is the worse in these scenarios, but with his best knowing he dropped the spoon pretty hardly and with a fake shocked expression said " Oops, my bad, the spoon was just so skinny" ........silence, no one spoke for half a min, suddenly Miss Anna bursted into a laughter " ohhh, honey you could've just said to change the topic" she said, still hesterically laughing. " Sorry" was all he said .....poor dude. " So, Cain honey any alphas recently you're interested in?" Miss Anna spoke, out of the blue. I choked on my soup and, while coughing, asked " W-WHAT?". " What? Honey, you're 17. At this age, everyone has atleast one or two crushes? Hum? "She asked, excited. I didn't know what to tell her " Honestly, no it's not like I go outside, but even then, I don't like anyone at the moment". " Awe, well that is true that you can't trust a person online these days...." She said sadly. " Now now, love, we all know Cain's waiting for that someone special, right??" . Flabbergasted, I stammered "N-no, I'm n-not, whereyougetthatideafrom" " oh,oh,oh, from all the mate books you've been reading hmm" he said. This sly fox, "exactly!!! How can I forget from now to 19 days our Cain is going to turn 18!!!! And will happily live with his mate". Huhh??!! Where did that come from? Seeing my confused expression, Miss Anna grabbed my hand, " Cain, you do know that you're a natural omega, right? No matter what, you and your destined mate can't live without each other's presence." I just stared at her worriedly. While also holding her hand, " I'm just worried, I won't be able to see you guys after leaving" I said . Honestly, I'm scared for myself. In the books, I've read that, 25 days before the turning of age ceremony, you'll get gist of emotions of what your future with your mate will be like, and it's fair to say I've been feeling abominablely sad, hopeless, and remorseful, to say the least....
