Afterword
In twelve-step programs all over the world for every obsessive and compulsive habit known to mankind, there is a common sentiment:
“No matter how far down the scale we have gone,
we will see how our experience can benefit others.”

I have known this to be true in many areas of my life, both in what I have been able to share with others and with what they have shared with me. Assuming I am not the only lesbian on earth who has fallen in love repeatedly with unavailable women, “mostly” heterosexual or not, I can only hope the belief holds true—that if I can share it with you and you are like me, perhaps you’ll feel just a little less alone in the world.
