Elias nods and shrugs, looks like ill get my first Trip to both willowdale city and to the Wysteria Kingdom capital city. it's happening a bit earlier than he expected but no matter. this will be a good opportunity for him and Khaos to quickly get acquainted with each other.
As Elias follows Captain Blackwood and the village guards back to Brindlemark village, he keeps a watchful eye on the surroundings, his senses on high alert for any signs of danger. The village is quiet, with most of the residents going about their daily business.
Elias notices a few curious glances from the villagers, likely due to the presence of the village guards and the serious discussion they had with Captain Blackwood earlier.
Elias turns to Captain Blackwood and tells him that he will go inform his parents, about his upcoming journey with Captain Blackwood and will only mention partial information about why he must accompany the Captain on the journey as to not spook his parents or the nearby villagers of the looming danger. Elias tells Blackwood that once he informs his parents he'll meet the Captain at the Village chief's house.
Captain Blackwood nods in understanding as Elias informs him of his plan to speak with his parents. "Very well, Elias. I'll wait for you at the Village chief's house. Just be sure to be discreet about the details of our journey. We don't want to cause unnecessary panic in the village." He pauses, considering the timing of their departure.
"We should be able to leave within a few hours, once we've gathered our supplies and said our goodbyes. Meet me at the Village chief's house, and we'll begin our journey to Willowdale City." With that, he turns and heads towards the Village chief's house, leaving Elias to inform his parents of their plans.
Elias approaches his parents, who are busy in the kitchen preparing dinner. He clears his throat to get their attention, and they turn to him with concerned expressions. "Mom, Dad, I need to talk to you about something," Elias says, trying to sound casual.
"Captain Blackwood has asked me to accompany him on a... diplomatic mission to Willowdale City. He needs my help with something, and I'll be leaving soon." He pauses, choosing his words carefully.
"I'm not at liberty to say much more about it, but it's not anything to worry about. I'll be fine, and I'll be back before you know it." His parents exchange a worried glance, but they don't press him for more information. "Be careful, Elias," his mother says, her voice laced with concern. "We'll miss you." His father nods in agreement.
Elias makes his way to the Village chief's house, where he finds Captain Blackwood waiting for him. The Captain is standing outside the house, speaking with the Village chief, a middle-aged Staut Dwarven man with a kind face. They nod to Elias as he approaches, and the Village chief hands Captain Blackwood a small pouch containing what looks like supplies and equipment.
"Here you are, Captain," the Village chief says. "I've packed some food, water, and a few other essentials for your journey. Be careful on the road, and don't hesitate to call for help if you need it."
Elias then bows Slightly to Durisas Flintpike the village chief, and then asks if Captain Blackwood got the Official document from Village chief Durisas about the situation and the request for the kingdom's aid. Captain Blackwood shows Elias a small bag filled with multiple copies of the same scroll parchments, telling Elias thst its always good to have extras in case certain cities or Officials wish to see the documents before letting them pass on the messages and reports.
Captain Blackwood nods his thanks, Towards Durisas Flintpike and tucks the pouch into his belt. "We'll be off, then," he says to Elias. "Let's get moving. We have a long journey ahead of us." With that, he turns and leads Elias away from the Village chief's house,
Elias nods in understanding as Captain Blackwood explains the importance of having multiple copies of the official documents. He bows slightly to Village chief Durisas, who returns the gesture with a warm smile.
"May the road rise up to meet you, Elias," the Village chief says. "And may the gods watch over you on your journey."
Captain Blackwood leads the way, and Elias follows him out of the village, leaving the thatched roofs and bustling activity of Brindlemark behind. As they walk, the landscape shifts from the village's surroundings to the open road, lined with trees and winding through the rolling hills of the countryside.
The sun is high overhead, casting a warm glow over the scene. After a few minutes of walking, Captain Blackwood stops and turns to Elias. "We'll need to take a shortcut through the forest to reach Willowdale City quickly," he says.
Elias asks if they will stop to rest at an inn for their first leg of the journey at the Oakwood Village by night fall. then continue the journey the following morning.?
Captain Blackwood nods thoughtfully as Elias asks about stopping to rest at an inn. "That's a good idea, Elias. We can stop at the Oakwood Inn in Oakwood Village for the night. It's a decent place, and the innkeeper is a good friend of mine. We can get a hot meal and some rest before continuing on to Willowdale City the next morning."
He pauses, considering the route ahead. "We'll need to be careful, though. The road to Oakwood Village can be treacherous, especially at night. We'll need to keep a sharp eye out for any signs of trouble." He looks at Elias with a serious expression. "Are you ready for that?"
Elias grins at Captain Blackwood and summons his Resonant Blade into his right hand as Khaos gets summoned and coils around Elias Torso and Peaks her head over Elias’s shoulder. Elias chuckles and says that both him and Khaos were both wanting to do some hunting together. as Khaos's level was reduced from level 10 to level 1 upon being bonded to Elias, however due to the mana rich environment Elias created in the beastial space she has already reached level two in just a few hours.
Captain Blackwood's expression changes from serious to surprised as he takes in the sight of Elias summoning his Resonant Blade and Khaos coiling around his torso. He nods in approval, a hint of a smile on his face. "Ah, I see you're eager to get started, Elias.
And with Khaos by your side, I'm sure you'll be a formidable team." He eyes Khaos with interest, taking in her level 2 status. "You're already making progress with her, I see. The Beastial Space is certainly a powerful tool for bonding and training your beasts."
He pauses, considering the road ahead. "Well, in that case, let's make the most of our journey. We'll head to Oakwood Village and get a good night's rest. Tomorrow, we'll continue on to Willowdale City, by tomorrow night we should arrive at the Town of Raven's Peak and will sleep in an inn there as well.
Elias continues to follow behind Captain Blackwood but he communicates with Khaos mentally, he asks her how she feels in the vast beastial space currently.
As Elias communicates with Khaos mentally, he senses her response. "I feel... expansive, Elias," Khaos says, her mental voice echoing in his mind. "The Beastial Space is vast and wondrous, full of possibilities. I can sense the mana flowing through it, and it's exhilarating. I feel like I can grow and evolve so much more quickly here."
Her mental tone is one of wonder and excitement, and Elias can sense her enthusiasm and eagerness to explore the Beastial Space further. "But, Elias, I must admit that I'm also feeling a bit... anxious. The pressure to grow and evolve is intense, and I'm not sure if I'm doing everything correctly. Can you reassure me that I'm on the right path?"
Elias smiles at khaos and tells her not to be anxious or feel pressure as he only expects her to grow at her own pace one step at a time. its better to build a strong foundation than to try and level up quickly. Elias then asks Khaos what she would want added to her space tonight, as they will be staying in an inn tonight Elias can meditate and try to add new fauna or flora to her space to make it more to her habitat specifications and he asks her what kind of food she is interested, he knows serpent's are typically carnivores but he want to find out from Khaos instead of delving into the Beastial Library skill.
Khaos's mental tone relaxes as Elias reassures her, and she nods in understanding. "Thank you, Elias. I feel better now. I'll try to focus on growing at my own pace." She pauses, considering the question about her space.
"Ah, I think it would be lovely to have some more water features added to my space tonight. Maybe a small stream or a pond? And some plants that thrive in moist environments would be nice too."
She thinks for a moment before adding, "And as for food, I'm actually quite fond of fish and other aquatic creatures. But I'm also curious about the taste of other meats, like small mammals or birds.
I've never really had the chance to try them before, and I'm curious about the experience." Her mental tone is one of curiosity and openness, and Elias can sense her eagerness to learn and explore.
