Elias's mind flashes with memories from his body's previous occupant, conversational tidbits about such a university, "The Wysterian Magic University," also known as "WMU," for short Elias recalls that it was a more than just a magic school where students and scholars attend lessons and seminars.
it was similar to Elias Past life Magical Academy where students ranging from the age of eighteen to forty would attend to learn how to survive and train their Classes that they recieved either by being granted a class due to a blessing during the awakening ceremony at a temple, or from finding a ancient relic that bestowed unique classes to those that unlock a class through unique Circumstances. He then asks his parents and Ms. Elara Moonwhisper about the Wysterian Magic University for more information and discusses with them what he can recall overhearing from others.
Eleanor Harrington's eyes narrow slightly, as if she's trying to remember something. "Ah, yes... the Wysterian Magic University. I've heard of it, of course. It's a... prestigious institution, to say the least. I've been told that it's not just a place for young mages to learn their craft but also a hub for research and innovation in the magical arts."
Alexander Harrington nods in agreement, "Yes, and I've heard that the university is divided into different departments, each focused on a specific aspect of magic. There's the Department of Arcane Theory, the Department of Magical Creatures, and the Department of Spellcraft, among others."
Elara Moonwhisper's expression turns thoughtful, "I've heard that the university is also home to a number of powerful magical artifacts and relics, which are used for teaching and research purposes.
The Wysterian Magic University was created to help people train and understand ones classes and learn how to either survive with them if the students decided to become mercenaries or adventures or to learn oh to use their classes if they were suited for combat and could use the class in daily life to make a living, this would be called a Trade Profession.
The university would hold an entrance ceremony where the applicants would undergo different styles of testing. this testing is for determining the applicants' class and baseline skills. the testing is to determine the rank of the applicant starting from G-Rank all the way up to A-rank. similar to how the Adventurer's Guild ranks its members.
Eleanor Harrington's eyes light up with interest, "Ah, I think I understand what you're getting at, Elias. The Wysterian Magic University is not just a place for book learning but also a place where students can learn how to apply their magical abilities in practical ways. And you're right. The university's entrance ceremony is a rigorous testing process that determines a student's class and baseline skills.
I've heard that the testing is designed to push the applicants to their limits and that only those who are truly talented and dedicated are able to pass." Alexander Harrington nods in agreement, "Yes, and I've heard that the ranking system is quite complex. The G-Rank is the lowest, and it's reserved for those who have just begun their magical journey. The S-Rank is considered to be a respectable ranking.
The W.M.U first determines what Rank the applicants class is and puts them into the corresponding Classroom, then over the next four years the student will train Their class and its skills to the point of increasing their Class Rank potential.
There is a Re-evaluation of Class Ranks at the end of Every twelve months, where the students are expected to have atleast made enough progress to Move their class rank up by one rank and then start the next year in a different classroom.
Elara Moonwhisper's expression turns thoughtful, "I see. So, the Wysterian Magic University has a system in place to help students improve their magical abilities and advance their class ranks. It's a very structured approach, with clear goals and expectations. I've heard that the university's faculty is very experienced and knowledgeable and that they provide individualized guidance and mentorship to each student."
Alexander Harrington nods in agreement, "Yes, and I've heard that the students are expected to work hard and push themselves to their limits in order to advance their class ranks. It's not an easy process, but it's a great way to help students develop their skills and achieve their full potential." Eleanor Harrington adds, "and I've heard that the university also has a system of 'classroom' groups, where students of similar class ranks and abilities are grouped together for training.
Elias memories shift to a point where he overheard some of the villagers discussing news from a merchant a few years back where the aspiring student applicants had to fight against a Magical construct that is used for target practice, and the overseeing test Judge will have the applicants attack the construct, defend against it, and battle against it for a period of time, and thst was just the preliminary Application test.
Elara Moonwhisper's eyes widen in surprise, "A magical construct, you say? That's quite a challenging test, if I'm not mistaken. I've heard rumors of such a test, but I never thought it was true.
The idea of a student being forced to fight against a magical construct is... daunting, to say the least." Alexander Harrington's expression turns serious, "Yes, and I've heard that the construct is designed to adapt to the student's abilities, making it an even more formidable opponent.
The test is meant to simulate real-world combat scenarios and to see how well the student can think on their feet and react to unexpected situations." Eleanor Harrington's voice is laced with concern, "I've heard that many students have failed this test, and it's not uncommon for them to be injured or even killed during the process.
As the W.M.U held up to three different kinds of tests after the preliminary test, these tests would change to some degree but generally the tests would be where the Testing judge would teleport the applicants to a different region of the Wysteria Kingdom where they would scatter Magical tokens from the University across the area they teleported to, for example like tossing the tokens into a forest, swamp, mountain region or Desert and then have the several hundred if not thousand applicants search for the tokens within a certain time span, the applicants would be given a Magical Talisman that should the applicants tear or imbued with energy will call for one of the on stand by instructors to come rescue them, but should an applicant do such a thing thst means they forfeit the Testing and get sent home later.
Elara Moonwhisper's eyes light up with understanding, "Ah, I see. So, the second test is a scavenger hunt of sorts, where the applicants are scattered across the Wysteria Kingdom and must search for magical tokens. That sounds like a challenging and unpredictable test, especially since the applicants have to navigate unfamiliar terrain and find the tokens within a certain time limit."
Alexander Harrington nods in agreement, "Yes, and I've heard that the Magical Talisman is a clever touch. It's a way for the testing judges to ensure that the applicants are resourceful and able to think on their feet, but also to weed out those who might be too reckless or impatient."
Eleanor Harrington's expression turns stern, "And, of course, there's the consequence of using the Talisman. If an applicant resorts to using it, they forfeit their chance to continue with the test.
Elias's mind races as he understood something from this memory, that there were many dangers during these tests to join the Wysterian Magic University. As there were dangers not just from the random environment that the applicant may be subjected to but also dangers from any beasts within that area but also potentially from other Applicants, trying to snatch others tokens.
Elias's mind shifts to another testing procedure he once heard about from a second-hand source. this test was just as dangerous if not mor so than the other, the instructors of the university and the testing judge may move the applicants to another region just like before but instead of playing hide and seek, searching for tokens the applicants would be tasked with Surviving in that particular region for one week.
Elara Moonwhisper's expression turns grave, "Surviving in the wilderness for a week? That's a daunting task, to say the least. The applicants would have to fend for themselves, find food and shelter, and protect themselves from any dangers that might be lurking in the area. It's a test of endurance, resourcefulness, and survival skills."
Alexander Harrington's face is stern, "Yes, and I've heard that the instructors and testing judge can be quite... creative in their challenges. They might leave the applicants with limited supplies or even set up traps or obstacles to make their survival more difficult."
Eleanor Harrington's voice is laced with concern, "I've heard that many applicants have failed this test, and some have even lost their lives. It's a test that pushes the applicants to their limits and beyond."
the applicants would be given a small utility backpack with three days of rations, basic medical supplies such as a roll of bandages, two vials of several different potions such as healing potions, Paralytic potions and Antidote Potions , a Hunting Knife, a shovel, and several meters of rope.
This information Elias remembered was from an applicant that was from one of the nearby towns that, Elias doesnt remember which town the person hailed from but just that they came to visit Brindlemark and Elias overheard this man talking about his experience during the Wysterian Magic University test.
Elara Moonwhisper's eyes narrow, "So, the applicants are given a basic set of tools and supplies to help them survive in the wilderness. It's interesting that they're given potions, such as healing and paralytic potions. I wonder if that's meant to test their ability to think on their feet and make difficult decisions, or if it's just a way to make the test more... interesting."
Alexander Harrington's expression turns thoughtful, "Yes, and the fact that they're given a shovel and rope suggests that they may need to dig shelter or create a makeshift shelter. It's a test of their resourcefulness and ability to adapt to difficult situations."
Eleanor Harrington's voice is laced with curiosity, "I've heard that the applicants are often dropped off in remote areas, far from any civilization. It's a test of their ability to survive in isolation, with barely any supplies, and forces the applicants to use their class talents and skills to survive.
the man went on to say that he only made it to the Fifth day of the test barely before he had to break the University Talisman and forfeiting the test as he just barely managed to survive an encounter with a wild Low rank Magic Beast.
The man sighed and shrugged in Elias’s memories as the man admitted that even if the beast didn't force him to give up the test he would have collapsed due to exhaustion and hunger as he wasnt able to forage for food or get a good enough shelter made.
Elara Moonwhisper's expression turns sympathetic, "I can only imagine how difficult it must have been for that man to survive for five days with so little resources. And to have to face a Magic Beast on top of it all... that's just cruel. I'm surprised he made it out alive, to be honest."
Alexander Harrington's face is stern, "Yes, and it's clear that the testing judges are not interested in coddling the applicants. They're pushing them to their limits and beyond to see how they react under pressure."
Eleanor Harrington's voice is laced with concern, "I've heard that the Magic Beasts used in the test are carefully selected to be challenging, but not impossible to defeat. It's a test of the applicants' skills, strategy, and physical and mental endurance."
So, according to Elias’s Memories, the two types of testing that he knows of are a scavenger hunt and a survival test. He didn't have any information or memories about what the third kind of test the University would put the Applicant's through, Elias mentally sighed as he shrugs it off. he will find out what the test is when he applies for the Wysterian Magic University himself in the future. At that time, he will have his first Soul Beast Companion, no doubt.
Elias asks, "What is the minimum level requirement to apply for the Wysterian Magic University located in the City of Willowdale
Elara Moonwhisper's expression turns thoughtful, "Ah, the minimum level requirement for the Wysterian Magic University is a topic of much discussion among the villagers. From what I've heard, the minimum level requirement is level 10, but it's not just about reaching that level. The applicants must also demonstrate a certain level of magical prowess and potential, as well as a strong desire to learn and improve their skills."
Alexander Harrington nods in agreement, "Yes, and I've heard that the university's admissions committee is quite selective. They're looking for students who have a natural talent for magic, as well as a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn."
Eleanor Harrington's voice is laced with a hint of pride, "And, of course, the university is not just looking for students who can cast spells and manipulate magic. They're looking for individuals who have a strong sense of character and a desire to use their magical abilities for the greater good.
The university's motto, 'Luminaria Ignis', is a reminder that magic is not just a tool for personal gain, but a powerful force that can be used to illuminate the world and bring about positive change."
Elara Moonwhisper nods in agreement, "Yes, and I've heard that the university's professors are among the most skilled and experienced mages in the land. They're not just teachers but mentors and guides who will help you develop your magical abilities and prepare you for a life of service and leadership."
Alexander Harrington's expression turns serious, "But, as with any great opportunity, there are also great challenges and risks involved. The university's testing process is grueling, and not everyone who applies will be accepted. But for those who are willing to take the risk.
