“Good that you two know each other. Olivia here won’t feel uncomfortable with a familiar face around.” David nodded and turned to her. “You need something from me?” “Yeah. I actually need you to talk to you in private.” “Sure. Let’s talk in my cabin. And Franklin, no actual practice today for Miss Olivia, explain her the ropes and rules. Let her observe for today and tomorrow. You can actually start on Friday.” He said to him and turned to me. “After the session is over, come to my office to fill the admission form and fees.” I nodded. I walked to so bad to follow David and Angelina but that was out of question. So instead I followed Franklin who explained me about the gym and what all I needed to get everyday. After tour of the gym I sat on one of the bleachers, watching others box and wondering what was taking Angelina so long. She walked out of David’s office looking rather disappointed. I quickly turned my stare away from her. Now that she recognised me, I couldn’t be caught staring at her. Friday came around and I entered the boxing gym with my little bag. I changed and started to learn the basics. An hour went by quickly and just by the little I learnt, I was dead tired. I made sure to stop and look at my target. She was flawless in the ring, focused and confident. All the guys in the gym knew her and she mingled with everyone. I walked into the changing rooms after her, sweaty and exhausted. “Hi there, Olivia wasn’t it?” She said smiling at me. “Hi Angelina. Yep it’s Olivia, you can call me Ollie, no one calls me by full name.” I smiled. “Okay…. Olivia.” She laughed. I snorted. “Well I’m all done. See you tomorrow.” She said and walked out. “See you.” I mumbled. I walked to my car and as I got closer I heard yelling but I couldn’t make out a word. A few more steps and I realised it was Angelina, yelling into her phone in Italian. I walked to the car, pretending not to be nosy. She cut the call in aggression and cussed in Italian and turned back. I quickly looked away. “Who’s there?” She fumed. I sighed. “Uh it’s me Olivia. I’m sorry I didn’t mean to eavesdrop. If it makes you feel better, I don’t understand Italian.” She shrugged. “It was just my asshole brother.” “I see. Well I hope everything is fine with you. I heard you shouting when I was walking to my car. How are you going home? Should I drop you somewhere?” “Thanks for the offer but my ride will be here soon. You go home.” She smiled. “You sure? The parking lot is pretty creepy.” “I know this place for last 2 years I’m sure I’ll be fine.” She laughed. “Wow okay. You take care then.” I drove away and spoke to my friends who were having a blast at the road trip. I felt stupid for missing out on the fun. It was currently Monday I was done with another boxing session. I was regretting the decision every time my joint ached. I put on my seatbelt to start my car and someone banged so loudly on my window I screamed a little. And there she was, Angelina Romano, crying and desperately banging on my window. “What the f**k?” I said rolling my window down. “You have to help me please.” She cried. “Huh?” “Open the door!” She cried out. I hurriedly opened the door and scared Angelina hopped in locking it immediately. “What the hell is happening?!” I exclaimed in confusion and fear. “Just drive! Get out of here. Now!” “Bu…” “Please!” She sobbed. “Okay okay I’m going.” I started the car quickly and drove away from the gym, my heart racing out of my chest. I drove for about twenty minutes in silence while Angelina cowered in my backseat refusing to speak. I pulled up to my usual spot and parked the car. “Let’s have a warm cup of coffee ans calm down okay?” I said to her. All she did was shake her head in fear and refused to get out. I sighed. “Can you please tell me what happened? I’m so confused and afraid right now.” “I….i c-can’t talk here. I’m not safe here. WE are not safe here. Please take me home.” She stammered. “You should have asked me to take you home the moment we sped away from gym.” “I was afraid that we would be followed.” She cried. “What?” I asked stupidly. “I’ll give you the directions, drop me home please.” “Fine.” I exhaled, still very much confused. It took me around 20 minutes to greet to her huge apartment building in the city centre. “I’ll drop you at your apartment, you are not well.” I said patting my car in the guest parking spot. I felt bad after seeing Angelina in that situation but I also was not going to miss out on the opportunity to see her apartment. Maybe I’ll get clues there. We took an elevator all the way to top and and was skittish the whole time. The elevator stopped and we stepped out. Angelina began to look into her bag haphazardly for the keys. “What apartment number?” I asked. “1889” she said still looking into her bag. I looked for the numbers on the doors and when I found hers, fear shot in my veins. “Umm Angelina?” I mumbled, holding her forearm. “What?” She looked up. “I don’t think you need keys, the door to your apartment is already open.” I pointed. Her face went pale as she looked too. In next moment, she pulled out a f*****g gin and I almost ran to the elevator. “Why the f**k do you have a gun?!” I hissed. “Why do you think?!” She hissed back. “Let’s go.” Her hands trembled as she held the gun. “Dude do you even know how to use that s**t?! You are shaking like a leaf!” “Just get behind me.” She said. I walked behind her as we slowly approached the door.
